Can we talk about the Hag?

This week I have played against so many hags, and personally I love going against a good hag killer. they are good at pressuring gens and good trap placement makes the game suspense. The issue I have is playing with survivors who know the hags abilities but refuse to counter them. This week alone 80% of the games i played against hags other survivors blindly ran up to hooks for saves just to constantly pop the obvious traps and allow the unhooked survivor to just get hooked a 2nd or even a 3rd time in a row, or the unhooked survivor wouldn't crouch off the hook which results in the same scenario. You would imagine any survivor in the greens/purples/reds (giving tans the benefit of the doubt on this one) would know better but i guess not?

I know hag isn't the problem, its killers who are oblivious to playing against her. She is an awesome killer and imo one of the most terrifying,

She was also Shadow Buffed and I’m shocked, SHOCKED nobody caught it. In my opinion, it was quite a powerful buff.

You cannot hear her port anymore. You would always know due to the squish sound she would make during her teleport. It’s now silenced and it can catch you offguard.

Once anyone triggers her trap and she’s LOS’ed, she can appear next to you without you hearing her squish and get hit.

Doesn't the trap like, scream tho? I always head away from the trap after it does that.

It does yes! And you used to hear her port by the sound, allowing some mind game.

But now, even if you think she won’t take her port, you won’t know. Nemesis can be quite terrifying on her since you can’t tell whether she ports or not.

Never thought I'd see anyone say they love going against a good Hag player. I use too main Hag myself but playing against a Hag main..... can be very annoying.

It can be but some of the best games I've played have been against the hag. I personally don't like quick games that are one sided, I feel that quick one sided matches are more frequent now a days. Rather the killer quickly wipes a team that is unorganized and cant do much or the survivors get 5 gens within a few minutes without even seeing the killer.

When I play Hag, games either gone insanely quick (wipe the team in 3-4 minutes) or are drawn out slugfests (when I’ve set up a web on a 3 gen and survivors play hit-and-run).

I think because Hag has been such an uncommon killer people lose “muscle memory” (so to speak) when playing her.

Personally my problem with hag is her ps4 frame rate on placing traps and teleporting otherwise id use her ALOT more.

Those are the same people that scream camper or tunneler when you teleport back from half way across the map because they refused to crouch walk.

When you place 5 traps at my feet when I'm hooked and all you do all game is hit me when the other guy sets off the traps, them yes. I going to call Hag's entire kit a camping kit.

It's part of the reason that I hate her so much. This sort of thing just happens too much for me to respect anyone who calls themselves a Hag Main.

"When you place 5 traps at my feet when I'm hooked and all you do all game is hit me when the other guy sets off the traps, them yes. I going to call Hag's entire kit a camping kit."

That isn't at all what I'm talking about.

Last time I saw this happen was months ago. Extremely rare unless a person was being toxic.

There are like 3 hag mains in total. I personally hate playing hag when I can’t see over the grass. Not corn, the grass. Annoying enough that I don’t need to play her anymore, like ever. Although any killer that counters looping is a good killer. Looping is broken strong on most maps.

How does it not relate to what you said? They teleport from halfway across the map and hit me, because my teammate didn't crouchwalk, or is too close for me to to so safely. They teleport and hit me. I go down, they have tunnelled me.

Admittedly it's the other person who activated the traps, but still kind of close enough to your point.

I've also had ONE Hag from memory who didn't do this. It's a playerbase problem to me, but it might just be an Xbox thing.

There's a difference between the scenario I told and yours with 5 traps around the hook and only going after you every time.

I'm talking 1 trap, leaving the hook and going after the trap triggerer.

She used to be my main until Plague comes out (whose design, lore, and playstyle suits me more), I played her the time before she got her buffs! She's extremely good at almost every part! Although flashlights ruins her entirely but you can still overcome that, unless it's like 2~4 flashlights...

Not many people play her becuz most of them doesn't like her playstyles, and a lot of people play her like a camping Trapper and just walking around without placing any god damn traps until they finally hooked someone...(I mean she IS a defensive killer but placing tons of traps besides the hook, for real?) However, I do met some really good Hag players

That's the main issue: Survivors don't want to adapt to the killer. That's why Nurse and Spirit were gutted, because survivors didn't want to adapt, and did not want counter them.

We need to be careful with threads like these. Hag is good. Hag is NOT problematic.

Let’s not get people thinking up any crazy ideas here. We just leave Hag alone and move along. Hey! Look over there! An original Nurse/Spirit/Legion! Go get it! Ok, byebye now.

I cannot tell you how many Red ranks I have seen just rush in to a hook. I'll be crouching toward the hook, and boom, Alturistic Claudette just rushes and alerts Hag. It really baffles me that so many high ranks can't figure it out to either Flashlight the traps or crouch.
