regression didn't immediately stop for all gens once the Hex is cleansed. It makes no sense to me. A generator should only stop regressing if a survivor touches them. They're going to hop back on a gen regardless once it's no longer in play.

I see why you suggest this, but when you think about it, the generator is only regressing because of the effects of a perk. Once the perk is cleansed, it no longer has an impact on the match; thus no longer applies the regression effect. It's a Hex perk, so you should strategise the match around it. While it is up, play a certain way, when it's gone, alter your approach.
