How to fix the new DC (killing yourself on first hook)
Remove the button spam from struggle phase.
This way if someone uses their 3 attempts instead of dying they automatically struggle for the duration and their teammates don't get hurt as much by being down a player early.

LOL, I'm suggesting making killing yourself take an extra minute so the other survivors have that time to sit on a gen.
No one is being forced to do anything other than wait an extra minute when trying to ruin the game for everyone else, seems fair to me.

If someone wants to die on hook i dont see the problem with it your idea wont happen im just gonna be blunt you want to fix people killing themselves on hook then fix matchmaking i dont want to stay in a game any longer then i have to with team mates doing nothing if behavior actually fixes this trash matchmaking the rate at which people do it will drop by a lot.

But what happens when there is a single survivor left as you are hooked, they go down and they're dead on hook? You're then stuck on the hook yourself until the timer runs out. Just let people suicide hooks all they like. It shows the mentality of many survivors today.

They added it to stop dcing not to "make people play the game" you clearly missed the point of what i was saying the OP's idea is basically forcing someone to stay in the game longer then they should that in itself is stupid no disrespect to the op if someone does not want to play in a game they can Either take a 5 minute or they can just simply die on hook it is what it is there's no use trying to continue to punish people its pointless people will always find a way around it there are situations where i can understand why people do it.

When a survivor first hook suicides it throws the game for the other 3 survivors, if you want to ruin the match for 3 other people it should take 1 min longer, if you think that's unreasonable then you're the one being "stupid".

First off no one called you stupid i said the idea was stupid with that being said if behavior actually addressed why people would kill themselves on hook the issue would go away not everyone does it because they "are losing" a lot of people do it because they see there team crouching around the map searching chests over doing generators its a valid complaint.
Its just like killers who refuse to hook a survivor during end game and make them wait 2 minutes to die on the ground you are basically wasting their time on purpose and honestly your idea would be doing the same thing.

What would you like? To die in 10 seconds and have the killer go do the same thing to someone else? Punish the face camp by not dying, the survs can get 3 gens done and then come save you.

As a killer main all of this sucks for me.
If a survivor dies on 1st hook that really hurts my ability to pip.
Letting a survivor bleed out on the ground? That's just stupid. You get absolutely nothing for that.
Face camping is almost as dumb as letting a survivor bleed out. Imagine wasting 2 minutes for a one hook kill.
Won't a automatic struggle just screw over you teammates more? How will they know your suiciding on hook? Wont they leave their gens to come get you?

Yeah, that’s generally why I do it, when it’s obvious that nobody is going to come rescue me because they’re doing stupid things that have no point to them. If I have distracted the killer in a long chase and the others haven’t used the opportunity to get a single gen done then there is a good chance that I may try to kill myself on my first hook rather than waste my time with a group that has zero potential.

I mean the survivors have no way of knowing if their team is actually gonna play the game vs crouching around also its not entitled to actually want team mates i mean 99% of the survivor playerbase would probably agree to that its not fun having people crouch around doing nothing but "stealthing" it ruins others experience.
With that being said you cant force someone to stay in a match period this idea would never make it live and honestly it would just make killer queues 13 hours long as it would force most higher ranks to play killer because they cant depend on the odds of random team mates it also would also make swf's even more common.

Too late; that is already the case with Killers, as they can't leave the game without DCing.

NO this is not right. there is in match functionality to try to escape the hook, and then there is in match functionality to struggle. Disconnecting is not an in match functionality selection, you must EXIT the match interface and enter the menu interface in order to click "leave match". this was done to prevent issues that kept the match indefinitely like stuck in geometry etc. the DC penalty that was "quitter bonus" was a bit of points to try and make up for the player who did not stay in the match. it doesn't work well that way, no matter what you do but I'd rather have a match where people kill themselves on hook than dc.
