How to make Mettle good but not Broken
Evil has a way of always finding you.
After you take 3 Healthy to Injured Hit Score Events, Mettle of Man activates.
Once activated, the next occasion that would put you into the Dying State from the Injured State is ignored.
The next time you heal back to full health, your Aura will be revealed to the Killer when you are farther than several metres from the Killer.
Mettle of Man will deactivate the next time you are put into the Dying State.
Increases your chances of being the Obsession.
The Killer can only be obsessed with one Survivor at a time.

I don't think anyone cares about the Aura reading, it's the extra hit that breaks the game.

@BigBrainMegMain I didn't change the aura reading. I changed the hit requirement

Just fix protection hits and it's a decent perk.

The real way to make MoM good is to...
Just rework it already change it into something completely different

You realise that's the hardest thing to do?

Honestly if they just moved it to two protection hits it'd be okay.

Yes because BHVR has never ever changed a perk ever

I dont remember any perk being reworked to be completely different than the original...

Ds, Borrowed time, left behind, etc

Not even every killer’s favorite change in this game’s history? Ruin?

The thing I disliked most about the original MoM was its ability to effectively guarantee a rescue + escape during the endgame. This idea would bring that back, so I can't say I'm in favor of that.

I'd prefer if they just changed the required protection hits from 3 to 2.

Let me repeat this once again. The instant you make Mettle of Man reliable, it become broken, because the ability to ignore a hit is just too strong. As long as Mettle of Man will have this effect, it must be difficult and unreliable to activate. That is the only way to balance it in its current state. The aura reading and obsession part of the perk have always been a meaningless drawback.
If you want a more reliable Mettle of Man it needs a redesign with either a less powerfull effect or some kind of real, impactfull downside.

DS literally does exactly same thing as before.
Borrowed time does literally the same thing since if I remember correctly borrowed time applied to yourself was a bug.
Left behind is actually the only perk that was changed completely but only because it was impossible to use old effect after they implemented new hatch mechanic.

I will point out that what he said perk changed into something completely different... Ruin has same purpose, works on same thing and is still a hex. Completely different would be a non hex, that affects healing and its purpose is to speed the the match up.

Ah yes, because in addition to our meta perks that give survivors huge benefits for being hooked and downed, we need to restore the one that rewards them for being hit.
How about buffing one of the many, many other Survivor perks in the bottom tier instead of the one that used to be busted?

Protection hits are easier to get now... so I think MoM is alright... I just wish there was a secondary effect: Obliviousness when you have your stacks.
That way the Survivor leaves themselves at a bit of a disadvantage and the devs can buff the tokens themselves if they want.

That would be busted.
The perk needs a rework. We do not need more "second chance" perks. It needs to do something else entirely.

2 protection hit woud make MoM a fair perk but absolutely not broken

This just sounds like a slightly nerfed original MoM
