Idk what the hell was that, probably new type of lag switching or some kind of cheats, no clue. The game was fine for me and the other 3, every time I got close to this one they lagging like hell.

That didn't look like any lag I've ever seen. Seemed almost like they were manipulating their movement axis to sidestep as they ran, which isn't possible as far as I know. I could be wrong, but it didn't seem like they were lagging.

That is not what lag looks like.

Looks like they're setting off Dead Hard every few seconds.

    @Peanits Is this legit?

Nope, sry it is just a lag. I have seen it before.

This looks like lag, hackers are much more obvious than this.

That’s definitely lag. I’ve seen worse versions of it but this is a bad case.

Looks like packet loss. Unstable connection.

Thats just lag, hackers are much more obvious than that. I caught one of video recently that increased his movement speed on a regular basis.

Yah this is lag, you see them moving in a direction, the game just assumes they are going in that direction and projects it that way, then gets new information that they have turned and are somewhere else.

Thats why you keep seeing them walk forward but suddenly jolt to the left or right, they are zigzagging but lagging while doing it.

Ok so it was a lag, I've been seeing more of that in my recent matches even when the ping indicator was green before I was ready. I think devs are doing something behind those servers.

At first I thought it was me that you recorded in that match till I made the screen bigger to see the names. I was in a match yesterday playing as Nea as well and I was the last alive going up against the same killer. Same map too.

You can tell they're cheating by how they employ the lag. A normal lagging player isn't going to wait until they're rubberbanding to run past the killer and through a pallet like they are. It's clear from how they're playing that they now when they're going to lag

you know this how? It's almost as of you were there. I'm sure you weren't but you can't know that they are using it, there are times that this can happen and when in proximity of two network connected signals (killer and survivor) the server might be seeing lag due to the current ping between the two. it could easily just be something is fluxuating and happens just at the right time. sure you could know 100% it's cheating but then again so could 1 million people get the same lotto numbers with power ball.

I'm confused. All I see here is a clearly laggy survivor and a killer who doesn't know when they have a good chance to swing.

Why would I swing when I could record more than a few seconds? And this lag was quite something than normal I've seen

It's clearly lag what even is this post

Heh that was what half the games were like before dedicated servers, though people would never want to admit it because of the smaller dedi server issues lol.

There is no ban for the killer? you can see the modified icons when you said specifically it is a reason for BAN...

    or this is allowed now?

I'd be curious to see where we've said that we ban for that, because that's not something we ban for.

ok, if i wouldnt be ban for that so, i can freely enter in "AppData\Local\DeadByDaylight\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\GameUserSettings.ini" modify the "Gameusersettings.ini" and "Engine.ini" with a notepad and make the killer red light more bright, remove grass and fog etc?

I'm really not sure where you're reading all this. I couldn't find any mention of that in the post you just quoted.

@Peanits can correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure perk/addon/whatever icon modifications were specifically a whitelisted modification, where other modifications are not whitelisted.

is "well known" that you can modify things with this...im jusk asking if that's ilegal or no...i think it's all the same (and icon or another thing), you shouldn be able to modify NOTHING...

Those are picture (.png) 'mod', it doesn't affect game settings, gameplay and game engine. Comparing .png files with .ini files, that's a whole different story. And no, devs have no intention of banning people customizing the perks, addons and such...
