Just had a 4 minute match...
When will something be done about the speed at which survivors can do their objective in addition to a killer not having enough time to "pressure gens"?
Is anyone else kind of fed up with this?

I'd like I first step to be...not spawn survivors directly next to gens. Why did devs design that in? My Discordance often shows two or more survivors starting a gen (sometimes two different gens), on the opposite side of a map less than a few seconds after the match starts. Majority of killers cannot even reach the locations before they are nearly complete. No wonder Corrupt Intervention is the new go to after Ruin's fall.

I think the question is... what will be done to penalize or balance SWF teams? Because randoms rarely do that so we can't ask for an overal balance change when SWF and solo teams are two different games.
We really have only two options... Make solo teams as strong as SWF and then nerf survivors in general or give debuffs in speed to SWF survivors and leave solos untouched.

Nurse,Huntress, Freddy, Hag, Wraith, Oni, Legion. Why would you want to be so killer biased? So basically all the killers. Maybe even Doc. Doc mains can correct me if im wrong.

The map issue directly affects the amount of time a killer has to pressure gens, so in part, that solution is part of the question... When can we start to see the issue being addressed?

I’ve see some of your vids, you and I both know BHVRs tendency to simply use bandaid fixes to issues. Breakable walls being added seems to me a bandaid response to the map issue without addressing it formally. (Note: I hate the idea of simply breaking walls as a “fix”)
Simply look at the balanced nerf; instead of reworking Haddonfield which many have wanted for years now, they nerfed balanced to not be abused. Granted, BL was aids on that map, but haddonfield is still one of the worst maps and it has gone untouched.
Compare it to most Macmillian or Azarov maps. Certain loops aside, they are generally fair for both sides and don’t immediate spell out a loss in the same way Huntress on Temple does.
To answer the topic of “gen speeds,” it’s not as simple as changing the time it takes to finish a gen, you should know that. Compare Temple and Father Campbell’s. Temples massive size leads to gens popping extremely fast, whilst Campbell’s is much smaller and allows for a lot more interaction between survivor and killers. Maps need to be adjusted to be more like the latter and we will see the issue of “gen speed” fade away, at least for the most part.
tl;dr- map design isn’t being addressed and it is being “fixed” via breakable walls

I main huntress at reds (at least when I still played) and consistently 4K before and after the change.
new ruin is literally useless on her. Her low mobility makes the regression on it useless, and you are better off just using Corrupt. The same can be said for any killer lacking mobility, which is why Spirit is able to capitalize on it as she can bounce from gen to gen quickly.

Hag - low movement speed, traps must be placed and are dependent on survivors not crouching or intentionally setting them off AND you being in range of them. She is a slow M1 killer that has longer chases, making ruin weak on her as everyone else is on gens anyway and often will have enough time to finish before she hooks someone.
Wraith - Mostly same as Hag except his movement speed is faster but still falls victim to loops and long chases. See above.
Legion - Arguably one the worst killers. His “mobility” is hardly useful and he is easily looped as well. See Hag.

I wrote a long reply addressing maps and gen speeds but I checked back and it’s gone now...
Basically what I replied with originally; maps being extremely large IE Temple vs Church affect the time it takes to complete gens and reworking then is a better fix than just cranking up gen repair time number.
also, breakable walls are a bandaid fix to map design, as it is easier to implement than full map reworks, whether this is good or bad depends on your POV. An example is the balanced landing nerf as opposed to reworking Haddonfield.

Neither Wraith nor Hag should be committing to long chases. And Wraith has good mobility, especially with add-ons.

How is Ruin any good on slow killers such as Huntress or Hag? Ruin only works if you chase people off gens. In other words: the more mobility a killer has, the better it works. Killers like Freddy, Billy and Spirit get full profit of it, but those are the killers that don’t need it because of their mobility.

While I see that gen-speeds can be a problem in matches with highly coordinated/ "gen rushing" survivors I really dont see the point of these kind of posts.
There are matches that end in 4 Mins because the killer got everyone (slugging, a good bubba, just bad spawn and of course matchmaking play a role in this). The only counter argument that comes then is "potato survivors" "git gud survivors" "the survivors made mistakes".
And as I understand it, not every match for those complaining about gen speeds is like that, otherwise they would drop in killer ranks I assume which apparently does not happen, because often those posts come from rank 1 killers. But even then the arguments against "potato survivors" lingers.
Maybe it really is the matchmaking that is broken und you were just matched against better survivors (that you should not have been matched against in the first place) and it's not (only/mainly) gen speeds that are broken.

I only struggle against those who do gens while injured.. I believe that the whole gen rush problem would be fixed if injured survivors had a penalty to their gen preparing speed.

Also, love your channel, SpaceCoconut! And I agree, gens go way too fast and something needs to be done. It's a critical issue for a lot of killers.

maybe the more casual players are not playing because deathslinger is delayed till next week. All I've been going up against tofay as rank 10 is sweaty red ranks finishing 3 gens 1st hook, 1 more gen after 2nd hook, and game ended with 3 hooks and 4 chases. I didn't make any mistake that extended a chase, and the survivors did not made mistake either.
It could be the matchmaking system's fault. I am kinda frustrated right now so probably not gonna play more today. I just want to play with survivors at similar skill levels, where I can get around 2 kills without having to tunnel/bring gen perks every game/bring Noed.

I think the gens are going faster now, because Survivors are aware of the nerf to toolboxes, so they're using them up. I wouldn't worry too much, because it will be over soon. I know I've been using more toolboxes, to get some use out of them before the change.
I also don't think that one 4 minute game should discourage you. If it's repeatedly happening, then yes. I'm a survivor main and sometimes I have several matches in a row, where I get killed very quickly. Things like this don't last and eventually you'll get a game where you feel like it's a more productive game from your perspective. I wouldn't take it so hard, just move on to the next match. I've had games where I was tunneled out of the game from the get go and yes, it hurts, but you have to remember, that not everyone is like that. And there'll be better games ahead.

Honestly, I'm surprised it doesnt already exist. Other than the fact thanataphobia exists so they dont want to "wash out" a perk by just adding its little bro as base kit.
But why arent survivors slowed even by like 3% for being injured? Bloody mangled hands working on machinery? Come on. Slipping all over #########.

To be fair, the 4min game issue has merit.
I played vs. a Doc on Temple shortly after the ruin nerf, I specifically remember timing it no toolboxes and being solo.
Last gen popped at 4:30~
Obviously this is not how all game go, but maps being the size of a city are bad for the game

I know, I'm slightly exaggerating, I've ran a killer for 3 gens in about 3 or 4 mins.
But it takes 80 seconds do do a gen, assuming you're on one of them, 3 doing 5 would take at least 2 and a half mins, if done optimally, with no bullshit and knowing exactly where the next gens are.
I also know the maps are more of an issue than actual gen speed, but we werent given a map or clip to base it off of.
Plus, on the other hand, there are games where you kill everyone in under 5 mins, or keep them from doing the last gen for 20 mins.
A one off 4 minute (I still doubt) gen rush isnt enough to just go, "yep let's make gens take longer".

Dont have them injured as long as possible i mean dont hit survivors with basic attack(especially the ones that havent used exhaustion perk on you it most likely means they have dead hard and probably resilence + spine chill ie they benefit from staying injured) better destroy pallet they going to drop if they wont just m2 them and leave them on a ground. But if you really want to punish survivors that dont heal play nurse, hag, spirit.

A post like this requires a video or its pointless. We all know killer clocks tend to be exaggerated also. Let’s see how it went down, so we can determine if it might be toolbox related, map related, mistakes, a combo of those, etc. I’m assuming you’d have it recorded since you make videos. To not post it seems a little suspect to be honest.

Youre naming 110% killers, they need corrupt more than anyone except maybe trapper. If two survivors hop on a gen together there are plenty of mais that it will be completed before you can walk there literally

Why they make tunneling very attractive - soon as they get yanked off the hook those survivors are running to the nearest gen. Now you got two problems instead of one for that gen.
PGTW has been very invaluable especially when they like to tap the gen to stop regression.
