Kindred trumps insidious?

As the title said yesterday we played a round against a basement bubba with insidous. He hooked me and styed standing still in the basement with insidious. But my mates called me they could see his aura all of the time thanks to my Kindred perk.

Is this intended or a bug?

    It's not supposed to, I don't think. I run Kindred III a lot and have had a couple Insidious campers fool me while my attention was divided.

    Went into the shack to get a person out of the basement (because no Bubba aura was showing nearby), but he was right on the stairs.
