Better Together is crazy underrated

Better Together is lowkey god-tier in solo queue. Pair it with Prove Thyself and teammates will get drawn to you like a magnet. And even in solo situations the aura reading is basically budget Kindred so you can see if you’re the closest to go for the save or you can commit to the gen. Does wonders for coordination.

It also has a side effect of making sure teammates gets healed and don’t tun around injured because they know where to get heals.

Also, its strongest effect by far is preventing interruption. If your teammate is in a chase, they’ll always kite the Killer away from your generator because they can see its being worked on ahead of time. I’ve literally never had a generator get interrupted with Better Together in my perk build

I think it's a weaker variation of bond. I'd rather use bond than Better together.

In my opinion I think kindred is better than both but better together still being better than bond.

Using kindred helps when your team needs it the most. If we are doing good then no one is hooked and we are doing gens or only 1 person isn’t because they are being chased. Once they get hooked. I can decide if I should go for the save since no one else is or if I should finish my gen and go to one of the other gens already started by another teammate or if I see the killer coming towards my direction I can leave the gen early and try to avoid the killer to waste the killers time. If I do get found then I know where to avoid running to not interrupt my teammates gens. Once I get hooked my teammates can see which one of the three is going to save me so 2 or more don’t all come at once and stop working on gens completely.

If a killer decided to camp me it helps my team coordinate a distraction to unhook me as well.

I forgot to mention the worse we do the more kindred helps. If someone is getting hook after another I basically have unlimited aura reading.

Teammate tracking perks are ridiculously underrated for solo queue in general. Everyone loads up on individual survivability and then someone gets left on 1st hook while someone runs a killer to a nearly completed gen

When a teammates gets downed, you see everyone’s auras for 10 seconds so it’s very similar to Kindred in the sense that you know which gens are being worked on and if you’re the closest for the save.

It’s not as good as Kindred for coordinating hook saves. But it has some of that potential regardless. And it has the bonus of activating in the case that the Killer decides to start slugging, which is a scenario that Kindred can’t deal with

Better Together is a go to when im concentrating on getting gens done and Kindred is my go to when I am trying to make the save. Both function well depending on my play style that game.

It is a cool perk, but here is the thing: Doing gens together is not the optimal way. Split up, all 4 survivors on different gens is way more effective. It might become good at late game and it gives some information to your teammates, but calling it an amazing perk is a little bit over the top.

I don't know about God Tier. But I'd say it's definitely underrated.

You're getting a lot more helpful teammates than I do. I get survivors that need me to both keep the killer busy and get the gens done. You can usually go around the edge of a map and find a survivor crouching around.

Omg thank you! You get info on what is going on also if someone gets downed while working on a gen.

I ran Better Together for awhile and found that is caused people to lead the killer to me more often then not.

It was starting to get very annoying and I switched backed to Bond. Haven't gone back to it since.

You are right that it is an amazing perk with great communication as a solo, but it also gives teammates the ability to abuse that information... which is what I experienced.

    Underrated? Yes.

    Combines with other perks? Yes.

Supports the survivor meta? Kinda, as it can help with the gen-rush.

Can be completely countered by Discordance though. Part of the reason I haven't started using it.

You forget that in solo queue a lot of people will lead killer to you when being chased, especially if they are on death hook

As long as my team actually does something useful with the gen aura Better Together provides, it's pretty good. Otherwise, Kindred essentially does the same thing and more. I'd like to see something better with the teammate aura reading that Better Together gives you.
