Rift Pass TOO grindy

Hey guys (and hopefully Devs/Community Manager). I frequent this forum and decided to make an account just now to adress an issue that isn't that impactful on me, but probably on most folks who can't put in multiple hours a day into a single game. To be honest, I love the new challenges of Tome II and they aren't as depressing and grindy as the ones from Tome I, but earning Rift Fragments or generally leveling up the Rift just seems sooooo rough. You get around 500-600 XP per game, and you need 8000(!) XP for a SINGLE tier. Let's look at another game which has a Season Pass feature too: Clash Royale. In there you can get a tier in around 15-60 mins, but here it takes around 3hrs (excluding Rift tier challenges). I'm already at tier 66 in the rift pass but I still think it takes wayyyy too much time to level up, which can make it frustrating at times too. Please, if not in Tome III, please make it easier in Tome IV to level up. What do you guys think?

The rift is garbage and sucks the fun out of the game. All about that $$$ though like a lot of modern games.

I finished the rift before I even finished the second set of challenges so it isn't that grindy.

If anything I want the grind to stay the same but for them to add more stuff to the next one so that it lasts at least up till the third set of challenges.

I wish I end up my rift as soon as possible so I can take a break of this game.

Seriously, how much do you play? I've played like 200hrs this season and am only nearly ready lol.

Nah I think you're in the minority there. I like it a lot (and the pass doesn't give you any in-game advantages) so you could also just ignore it instead of complaining.

maybe 2 - 5 hours a day after my university stuff is done. I mostly play SWF with friends if they are on, or killer if they are not.

Nothing extreme but I play a solid amount. I've had a few weekend days where I played like all day but only a few. I just don't diddle around I do the challenges, and then forget about the rift and just play like normal and check back every couple of days to see how far it is along xD

So I really only play on weekends due to my job, but I'm almost done the rift. I think I'm at tier 56 out of 70 with 22(???) days to go. I had to do every single killer and survivor challenge to make it this far though and without the challenges on both sides, there's no way I'd ever make it.

I think I play between 10 - 40 hours a month, depending on what's going on. (I'm playing more because I am doing yee haw atm)

I just got the Pain Flail (Copper for Trapper). Wasn't able to beat the previous rift either lol.

Eh, I find it fine. I play probably three to four matches a night (so a hour and change) and I've had no problems getting through most of it (though granted, I've barely touched the Compendium thing).

The only ones in the Main Rift I don't have are ones for characters like The Spirit or Jane as I don't have those particular DLC pieces and a handful of super specific ones (like David King getting two protective hits) because I just don't feel like playing specifically to get myself in the specific situations needed to unlock them. I suppose if I ran out of Compendium to do, I might go back and try to do those ones for funsy.

But ultimately, there really doesn't seem to be much benefit to The Rift except for extra points and I guess if you're super interested in the story chapter things, you lose those (though I imagine that would be super simple to just look up on The Internet Dot Com somewhere).

NOTE: I have not started Chapter 4 yet so maybe Chapter 4 is stupid grindy for all I know...

The rift is specifically made to be something to grind. It's percisely for those people who play this game loads. If you don't have time for it, then it's not really for you. Stick to daily rituals if that's the pace you want.

I actually love how Chapter 4 is set up. You hook 30 survivors, get 15 iri emblems either side, get a 4k with doctor and get 100k blood points. Then you're free to go after lore notes and whatever however you want. It's pretty comfy.
