Kill Switch update: The issue affecting Baermar Uraz's Ugly Sweater has been fixed and the cosmetic has been reenabled in all queues with this update.

are toolboxes useless now?

i tried the new toolboxes, and they really feel useless. 16 charges, really? i mean yes, they needed a nerf but i feel like this was too much.. engineer's and commodious toolboxes aren't worth 6k 5k bloodpoints anymore.

Depends on when you use them. You get get a good start on a fresh gen, or you can finish off a gen that was just PoPed. Or you could just save them for saboing the hooks.

    Toolboxes feel stronger imo.

More focused on speed rather then longevity.

I feel they're still op. Honestly the entire survivor objective is op imo.

There should be a way that survivors can have a fun objective that isn't just holding m1.

    It's entirely too simple.

I don't want longer gen times. I want another addinional objective that is as important as generators are when it comes to escaping.

Like phase one could be collecting generator parts. Phase two could be gen repair. Then phase three is the exit gates.

I think it’s a buff to toolbox’s tbh yes they have less charges but have you seen how fast a gen can go with them?

I have been playing killer quite a few hours since the update. I am getting thrashed constantly. I used to be a consistent red rank killer for about a year, now I feel useless. The more they tinker, the more unstable the game gets. In the hands of skilled survivors, these "nerfs" are huge buffs. And with the sabo change, SWF denied me at least 4 hooks in a match they sped through. I only got kills because they tried to 3 man bully me out of a basement hook as Leatherface after gens were all done...

They increased their speed but lowered charges a LOT. So it was a nerf overall but they are still hella strong, might STILL be too strong even.

If 4 people take so much as a brown toolbox that is like equal to almost an entire gen of progression just skipped, a full gen if 2 people do one gen together with them. Like, if they save them for later in the game when gens are harder to do there is not much you can do.

That's about equal to a killer taking like a green mori as an an offering (If they have 4 toolboxes, that rarely happens, against say 2 the green mori would be stronger imo and equal at maybe 3 Toolboxes) in terms of speeding up objectives.

With a toolbox you can remove a Gen from the equation very quickly meaning that a smart TB can prevent 3Gen situations and a TB in general will put a lot of pressure on low mobility Killers.

It's also a soft buff to Keys as the Hatch may be able to spawn sooner now.

small part of a gen can be completed fast with engineer's and commodious toolbox. but that's it, it's a really small part. play survivor and try it yourself and you'll understand. the toolbox lasts for like 10 seconds now

No, they are not. They sure got nerfed but they could still be used to complete the last part of the gen really fast.

In my opinion as a survivor loan, they are not worth using. Too weak to do stuff. Rather run a flashlight.

Let's not forget those toolboxes also let you sabotage which is pretty busted right now

By the start of next week I think Lobbies with 2 or more toolboxes will still be dodged to hell and back
