Gotta love the rage The Doctor induces!

2 d/cs in like the first 2 minutes. First person I start a chase with and before I even hit them once they d/c. 2nd person slowly gets into a locker in my LOS as I'm about to do my Static Blast so I grab them out of the locker and instant d/c. Completely screwed their team. The two that stayed got one gen done and that was all she wrote.

If I was a friendly Killer I would've let them do all the gens but I'm not so 🤷🏾‍♂️. The moral is don't screw your team over just cause you get a Killer you don't wanna play against.

You think that's bad you should try skill checks Doc on The Game. Either you get a lot of screaming or a lot of DCs 😂

Which means you played an easy 2v1 game...not exactly a difficult task. Congrats on your impressive victory. The other two should have just dc'ed as well. Why should I continue to play in a game like that? I am going to lose a PIP anyway why should I do the killer any favors by letting him get points for hooking and killing me. Sorry...I'm gone too in that situation.

Unnerving Presence Doctor with counterclockwise skill check add-ons makes me want to hook suicide.

I really like playing locker meme builds against Doctor though. Inner Strength and Head On are fun ways to mess with him since he’s immune to some of the best loops

If you really wanna be mean play doc on the game and use two calm add ons and do the super shock every time its on cool down.

Survivors just need to get good, y'know?

I really wanna do that Doctor I just gotta get the other perks. It looks like that would be the most fun version of Doctor.

I'll have to give that a try in a bit. I just loves me some Doctor. Now if only I could get better with The Nurse. I cranked my sensitivity up to 100% so it shouldn't be as bad now.

Not always the case, played a game last night on coldwind, Jane dc'ed after the first chase before I could even hook. Claudette just afk's and dies on second hook. All that remained was a Nancy and Dwight, so I hit them both with frenzy about three times and stood there while they healed, then I hooked each twice and had the other unhook, then we went around and they did five generators, then I murdered them. We all pipped in the end.

Just saying some killers will work with survivors in that kind of situation, provided they aren't douches of course.

If I was one of those other 2 people and saw it was a doctor I'd DC too. The new doctor is way op. I've played as him and was kind of shocked (no pun intended) at how stupid easy it is to play as him now.

Also, I'm tired of people who play the killer all the time complaining about pallet loops and gen rushing... like seriously what are supposed to do? Do you want us to run around at random until you find us and then get into a chase with you using every pallet and vault only once? We'd die. A lot. Quickly. Every. Time.

I used to actually play like that as survivor and then realized quickly that there is often just too much distance between me and the next vault or pallet and the killer is too fast for me to try and double back in sneak mode to lose them.

Same thing with flashlights. Bro, I have a flashlight. You have a machete/chainsaw/knife whip/dagger/knife hands. You basically brought a bazooka to a fist fight and are complaining that people are flicking pebbles at you. It's pathetic.

If anything this game needs to add more variety of ways to escape the map like some other asymmetrical survival games cough F13 cough then there wouldn't be any gen rushing because there's actually be other objectives for the survivors to try and accomplish thaty have a meaningful impact on the game. Cleansing totems is a neat objective but if I don't see any hex totems I'm not going to waste my time cleansing every dull totem in the off chance the killer has no ed. This is especially true when playing solo because the only way it can really be accomplished without wasting precious time I could be spending working on gens is if the team can coordinate the effort, which is next to impossible in solo mode.

Or provided they're playing the game as intended. I can't help that Survivors are so unreliable.

Meh. Unless you have calm spirit doctor is just a killer that forces you to be aggressive. Aggressively loop. Aggressively do gens. Aggressively go for the saves.

If you're shy, he'll find you. Definitely not a killer you can goof off against.

Nurse has that effect, too, it seems.

As killer (Doc main) I tend to farm when at least 2 survs DC in the early game. That way everyone left has at least no losses.

Well it seems from his posts the OP is exactly that though.

I think I've said this somewhere else before but seriously there's little else survivors can do. Survivors literally have three objectives they can work at:

    1. repair generators
    2. cleanse totems
    3. open exit gates

Cleansing totems it neat and all but ultimately pointless unless you can coordinate the group in swf or if it's a hex totem.

Are survivors supposed to run around the map until you come across them, engage in a chase with the killer while only using each vault and pallet only once? Survivors don't because they'd die. All. The. Time.

I played that when I first started playing and I did die every time. Not only that I got camped and tunneled constantly so it was completely no fun whatsoever.

The game is unfortunately designed in such a way that there's actually not much else that survivor characters can do tbh

The killer is typically too fast and not to mention they get faster the longer the chase goes so it doesn't leave many options open. Can't double back in sneak really and hiding in a locker is suicide unless you have quick and quiet, but even then it's not really guaranteed.

I don't think you've really given much thought to the other side of the equation.

I've had so many matches that have screwed over my 'Kill everyone as Doc' challenge because they DC if they're caught. Hell, I'm even having people DC against Deathslinger because they got harpooned through a window. It shows a lot about these kinds of survivors who will just outright DC because they can't have their 'EZ Win' anymore.

Use mindgames, drop pallets early, hop into lockers for a moment or two when his TR approaches if he has blast ready, there are MANY options to counterplay for those willing to use their brains

It's because they are sick of him, he was really common since the rework, and the challenge tomes were based around playing him more; paired with the "impossible skill check" builds which, while not very strong, are VERY annoying.

I dunno....I am okay with it being really annoying but if it's ever strong AND annoying something will need to be done.

  • PBsamichShoe
    PBsamichShoe Member Posts: 314

For chases there really isn't that many options. Dropping pallets early will just waste a pallet and give the killer another notification to keep them on your trail even if they lose line of sight. Mind games such as misdirecting while running and then walking/sneaking another way are extremely limited opportunities that are available maybe 1/10 chases and have maybe a 50/50 chance of working when it is an option because of the killers faster movement speed.

There's really not that many different mechanics/objectives to the chase sequence itself.

Dunno why they bothered with the overhaul. He's just as annoying now as he was previously to play against.

Truly, your insight into the issue is staggering.

The 2 d/c's were the 2 smartest players that game it sounds.

This is a fair statement, but it is not OPs' fault that the others DCed. I agree I wouldn't post this as if I had done something amazing nor to prove that survivors just DC against Doc, to small of a sample size.

He is frustrating as hell to play against, but fun to play as. If I was in a game like that, I would just get hooked and die.

My only thing with Doc is he should lose Bloodlust when shocking. He is the only killer in the game that can use his power and not lose bloodlust.

I checked in KYF freddy does lose BL when putting down snares, so why not Doc?

Personally what annoys my about the doc is his static blast. It is really annoying with cooldown addons
