What's the strangest mindgame someone (Killer or Survivor) has played on you? (It could've failed)

Mine was when a meg dead harded into my chainsaw as billy. (skill)

I had a guy send me a "u suk" message right away before the game started (I was the killer).

The entire team including him (I assume they were SWF as they all had similar gamertags) then proceeded to kamikaze right into me as a killer and basically spun in place until I killed them all.

Not sure how that benefited them or if this was some 4D Chess trolling somehow but hey, I'll take the free kills and points I guess?

that's a tough question. I wont lie if had a bubba just stand still at shack for so long that someone went close enough to get sawed by him. That had to be the funniest/weirdest mindgame of all time.

I've done similar as a survivor, saw Myers standing in one place for at least 3 full gens, so went up to him slowly when the gate was open, only to be hit with NOED and killed.

    I deserved it.

a doctor using insidious pretending to look like one of his illusion (not considering the fact that illusions have the same animations during the lobby screen, which the players does not have).

I always find it rather perplexing when survivors crouch down next to a wall or a rock right in front of me. You're not that invisible, mate.

Had a guy playing Trapper who would stop at a pallet, turn to the side (as if trying to hide his red light) and then after a moment turn and lunge through the pallet as nobody is near him. I can only assume he was hoping we would see his red light on the side, run back the other way and get hit. Either way it was an odd game as he kept trying it.

Mine is when I want to mindgame a killer by doing unexpecting turns or faking vaults but end up getting hit because the killer's got either 1000IQ and consciously processes my mindgame or because he's a baby-killer doing the most unexpecting stuff. ._.

It was Haddiesfield. I was huntress and it was about 2 years ago. So I wasn't as good a killer as I am now. This group was doing gens and hiding when they heard me coming. I had a hard time finding anybody. I was patrolling and heard someone working on the gen in Mikey's house. I hear them go out the window. I go out the window and I don't see them. No tracks, nothing. I go on patrol. I come back, same thing. I hear them go out the window and I don't see them. I look around for any other window on the 2nd floor. I leave and by the 3rd time I come back I finally found out what happened. I heard them hop out the window. I go out the window. I turn around and I see Claudette crouched in the bushes right underneath the window. I'm like "Are you #@$%ing kidding me?" /smack

That survivor ended up befriending me lol

a crazy mindgame survivors do is run in a straight line, turn half an inch and my weapon has a spaz attack and I manage to miss. how it happens idk but I guess I just keep getting outplayed.

Sometimes I see the killer barreling toward me then do something similar. It does work on occasion. Their focus was elsewhere or their FoV didn't reach. Lag can also alter when and how they saw you.

Oh yeah, I've had it work when I'm playing survivor as well. I understand why people do it, it's just funny when I do see them because it's like "yeah okay, nice try". It feels like playing hide-and-seek with a child who covers their eyes in the belief that if they can't see you, you can't see them.

I was playing Spirit chasing a Nea on Blood Lodge. Nea ran into a truck, so I walked backwards thinking that she was going to 360, I swung by instinct but I had backed out, so I whiffed the attack. Nea than DH into me and I downing her. She DC'd and messaged me saying she was reporting me for hitting through DH but she didn't realize that she had DH while I was recovering from whiffing

I got 2 stories. One I almost fell for and another one a friend of mine fell for.

    1. I was working on a shack gen, was about 95% done with it, when a LF came and chased me away. I hid behind shack while he kicked the gen, terror radius disappeared. I'm like "Oh well, he left", I walk in through the non pallet door, and I hear a chainsaw, he had been standing between lockers with Insidious and waited for me to return, I jumped through window before he could chainsaw me though. It was 300IQ play and I never expected it.
    2. Was playing with a friend on Ironworks. Friend does not care about using the God window, so he's looping the killer there. He's semi new at the game and doesn't look behind him when running. The killer just straight up didn't vault through the window and went to the door, where my friend was. He got downed and I just laughed at him for failing to run a semi-infinite.

The best mindgame I've seen is when a Meg re-programmed my brain completely blowing my mind. Throughout the match on two occasions she vaulted a window and Lithe-d away, so I was ready to play around that. Towards the end game I had 1 person dead, 1 on hook and I see that Meg injured in a dead zone. I'm thinking this is a great chase! I'll get a quick down, then get the last guy based on what I see on BBQ and worst case scenario I sacrifice two and the last guy gets hatch. I went after the meg as soon as I caught up, she baited a swing and sprint bursted away to a jungle gym. I could not believe it.. Both times she "lithe-d" away it turns out she just had her sprint burst 99-d and both times it activated just as the vault animation finished. She never showed me that she actually had sprint burst that whole time. I'd like to think it was a massive IQ play on her part and not just pure luck, because that woman completely outplayed me.

Needless to say I let all 3 escape. They probably would have anyway.

The biggest Mind Game is when Survivors / Killers don't Mind Game, they're just playing like rank 20s and you're not expecting it so you Mind Game yourself.

I had a Demogorgon waiting near a locker for me as I was healing with Inner Strength in Yamaoka. He walked away, and the TR vanished, so I assumed it was safe. Turned out he was waiting around the corner with Insidious. Best jump scare ever.

A killer sent me a message as we were in the lobby saying that if I didn't ready up right away he would camp/tunnel me. Joke was on him though as I was in my perk list trying to set up my usual build. I threw on a full stealth build and told him to try and find me. Distortion/Spine Chill/Urban Evasion/Calm Spirit.

He never found me once and I escaped via the hatch. Lol

Hiding inside a locker without Head On when I play Legion and just got a Frenzy hit always makes me think #########

Quite a lot of the time it's just the killer getting lucky, but I find it way too easy to know what certain survivors will do. They make it too obvious whether it's how they're running, what character and cosmetic they're using, etc

but for me. I used infinite tombstone on mikey and all game I just lunged so I would hit them normal. I wanted it to get to end game hoping they would do the normal teabag cocky bs at the gate and sure enough this meg let me "hit" her out lol RIP meg ez tombstone

I also played one as ghostface where I used insidious and bloodwarded and I would stand in the middle of the map all game in shroud. theyd break me out but insidious would keep my tr suppressed and they would be so confused. I 99d all survivors and when the last gen was finished and the gate was opened I slugged one of them until the timer was half way I then hooked the survivor they saved but blood warden gave me the four k. imagine that I got a four k and I only hooked one survivor lmao

Oh I just thought of one as killer.

Was chasing someone through a house, so instead of going through all the boring effort of climbing through windows and whatnot I just stood there. Survivor panicked and ended up right in front of me.

A survivor turning so quickly in a chase that at 100+ fps they literally disappear due to the killers fov and auto aim thinks a wall is a survivor.

The reverse psychology mind game via PS4 messages.

Bloodlodge back in 2017, before all of the hatch changes etc... (thus at least 2 gens had to be done for the hatch to spawn for last survivor)

Playing old school Sharphand Joe. Only 1 gen done and 1 survivor remaining. Zero progress being done on gens. I receive a message from the survivor saying something to the effect of I can hide all night if you don't let me escape. He then proceeds to message me "Getting Warmer/Getting Colder" messages as I walk around the map. His final message was "Ice Cold" just as I was opening the locker he was hiding in.

A clown that didn’t distract anyone he just grabbed and left using the perk of not having a hit hit so I’m like the whole game, he was like a toy and the child survivors were playing with him, in the end we all escaped, it was strange but very funny.

I just like the classic hag trap at a loop with a downed pallet. They pop the trap and pallet slide right into your hands. It's delicious.

I also have downed someone, knowing a flashlight person had to be near, and started laying a trap on the downed person. Thinking I was beginning the pickup animation David came to save the day. David learned.

The classic survivor who hides while you are being looped as killer. Finally hit the person looping you, and then get the ducking Claudette for dessert because the pallet is used.

Had a killer message me as the match was loading saying Good luck. I was the only one to the escape . So I guess his good luck helped me

As survivors had outplay me as a pre patch legion main near pallets, while I was trying to stab them while they were vaulting.

Survivors skillfull enough for this were rar to this time (today I think they would be even rarer), but oh boy... They have stick into your memorie if you have meet them.

This is so true on console. Especially after Oni was released.
