Killer is getting more repetitive every day...

Every match I get is against nothing but red ranks and atleast a rank 1 and It feels Time Of day i q doesn’t make a difference. It’s the same ######### every match, ds , bt , dh , adrenaline and really stressful I have to sweat just to get a 2k. No I don’t want to derank either because it would take forever to get from rank 1 to rank 16, even the survivors look the same nothing but neas, claudettes ect, I don’t want to be forced to only play nurse, Freddy, spirit. I’m honestly thinking about taking a break and I don’t want to play survivor either, id rather play monopoly than wait 15 minutes for a game to get a terrible map or q up with rank 15s and 20s.

Survivor is getting super repetitive too with killers simply trying to optimise to deal with this somewhat elusive meta build, which I rarely find one of. I have versed so many Hillbillies that I'm almost at the point of asking for an "Avoid this killer" feature to stop versing so many of them. I don't know how bad the original Nurse Pandemic was on PC, but I think that I equal or beat that number. Or I did anyway when I first hit purple, and he was 95% of games.

If red-rank players in general just decided to chill out and just play something fun, rather than just what is popular or powerful, then getting to red might actually be something to look forward too, let purples sweat it out then when you get to red you get to relax and play a meme build or two.

The only other thing that I can suggest is making a new account, rarely playing it and going on every now and again just for a bit of fun. I have several mates who don't play that often any more, so I have an account where they won't run into my red/purple killers and it is a bit more balanced since I don't use level 3 perks, except for some of the weaker ones.

Judging by my roommate's experience, I'm pretty sure people on console play Hillbilly so they don't get bullied. Since I've never heard of survivors giving a ######### about the killer's experience, but always expect killer players to run "fun" builds and "fun" killers all while why run the most optimized builds imaginable and abuse how crappy killer FPS can be on console (360s work against killers consistently on console due to frame drops, not so much on PC).

I highly doubt red rank killers or survivors will ever just chill since they constantly feel like they have to "prove" their rank. When rank is pretty much meaningless at this point anyways.

I stopped playing since the nurse rework. I came back before deathslinger came out. Im rank 18 now and im still getting red ranks. It feels like i never deranked.

Ill check back in another 6 months and see if things improve.

Both sides are equally boring lately. Survivors only run DS, BT, Adrenaline and a X Exhaustion perk. Killers are always Spirit, Freddy, Hillbilly or Leatherface for me with most having NOED which isn't a bad thing and I really don't blame them anymore. When I play killer, I vary my perks rather than go for the easy downs. I don't want my matches being over instantly on either side and want to at least have some chases and fun before the match ends, but lately, it seems both sides would rather the match end the second it begins.

Probably not. 6 months later, rank is removed, and you have this "mmr" in charge

You're wondering that you're only get red ranks as rank 1? Did i miss something?

It wasn't repetitive before? Come on. Every killer ran Ruin and BBQ and would rely on finding the survivor that couldn't do gens with ruin out of position, downing them, and then BBQing to the next person. Wash, rinse, repeat.

I proposed a perk cooldown loadout system awhile back but one of the devs wasn't convinced. I can see why. You just want to go in with what you want. But then again, the perk stacking is a real issue.

Agreed. Some perks are tolerable but mixed with others, it becomes broken. In my opinion, if you couldnt mix it with ds, bt, adren. Old MoM might have been fine. "Might".

Six months? Don't hold your breath. I've given up on this since the new year and I don't expect overall net positive change - for my perspective - for a year at best, probably never.

Not that it'll happen but it's rather see a new DBD2 come out instead, something designed properly from scratch, instead of hoping that a flawed base game can be balanced. The part few updates have not moved the needle.
