What was the point of the new sabotage builds if you're going to put the hooks so close together?
Has anyone seen the new map? There's hooks EVERYWHERE. I wanted to try out the new saboteur and it doesn't even matter when you drop a hook. Another hook is directly nearby and the survivor is getting nowhere near to jumping off before the killer hooks him. And this is with a petrified oak. I'm not even sure that PO actually effects anything in the new map.
While I don't think every sabotage should equal a survivor getting off the killer's grasp, there should still be a chance. But BHVR's obsession with placing hooks everywhere has made a previously fun build completely useless.

The new map is terrible in that regard. I had a match were two hook were at less than 10 meters from each other.

Right? The main street has three that are basically right next to each other. All in a line. And there's ones just on the outside too if you managed to sabo all of those. While I agree the change was needed, it feels more like a heavy nerf than a balance change with the obsessive amount of hooks.

Good..sabo is a mechanic that would only harm the game if it were meta..hooks being permanently destroyed on a sac is bad enough..while some maps have plenty of hooks..some maps have horrible spacing..the game for instance

What happened to the patch last year that made hook spawns fair for survivors?
Where's the patch that was going to prevent the killer from camping two hooks?

Found the killer main. But anyway, the new changes don't allow for it to be meta. The saboteur perk has quite a long cooldown which applies even if the survivor doesn't finish the sabotage. You can only sabotage a small number of hooks with the toolbox. And sabotaging is now a risk as it places you in close proximity with the killer. The killer is free to drop the survivor by the hook and chase after the sabotaging survivor. As long as you're quick and get a hit in by the time you'Re back the survivor won't have crawled far and the hook will have respawned.

BHVR treating survivors as fairly as they do killers? Come now. The new map is a testament to the fact that BHVR is killer-sided. Breakable walls, hooks spaced incredibly close together, gens that are basically all right next to each other (Heaven forbid you three gen yourself on that map. I don't know how you'd be able to get out of that one as the killer can basically be at all of them at once), and unsafe pallets. As this is the most recent map, it's an indication of where the development team plans to go with the game and if this is the case then I'm sorry, but killers really have no right to complain as the games are basically handed to them.

Sorry, unless Nurse is given a QOL buff, I'll remain convinced they're biased towards survivors.

I play on PS4 so I don't see too many Nurses. And I'd say 90% of the ones I do see are doing a daily and are terrible. But I've heard she's incredibly unbalanced on PC which was the need for the nerf in the first place. I'm not opposed to a buff in her favour though. She changes the game in a refreshing way and I'd love to see her played more often.

Very classy cop out, really shows your mind set ..and I'm very aware of how it works , I'm merely stating that attempting to make it the meta is a bad idea rn especially

So you agree with me and then call me a troll? K. Lol.

Agree, had a match where i brought toolbox with sabo add ons and breakout so i could see how well new sabo could be used, finished the sabo but got downed and killer still made it to a hook just down the street

Probably because it's a very small map but with the same amount of hooks like big maps. Needs some addressing, I saw multiple hooks just 10 meters apart from each other.

It can't become meta with the current changes to the toolboxes/perk. The only way it'd be meta is if they placed the hooks so far apart that killers just barely get a survivor on one every time. And we know that would be bad for the game. But they could at least make it possible to use.

Right?? The three on the main street are insanely close together!

Hopefully they'll adjust the gen location too. They're mostly all on one side of the map making for easy 3 gen scenarios. I've been fortunate to avoid it but Ive had my friends tell me its impossible to finish a game if you get 3 genned there.

That's a fact. I'm not trolling. And if you believe otherwise feel free to argue against it.

It is possible..you just have to dedicate to it

One chase shouldnt take forever. Sabo can only hurt dbd.

I do. Assuming I don't is your problem, not mine. I have no issues with killer

Yeah well the perk wasn't designed to be around this ONE map, there are many maps with different hook placements, Swamp has like ZERO hooks near each other in a way that the killer could waste time like hitting someone once or bumping into things but then there are maps like the new one that have like 50

If it does its because of the killer, not because of the survivor.
0 -
Riiiiiight.
0 -
You're right. But it should be useable on all maps. Its a waste of a perk slot on the new map.

It's not complicated man..toolbox, breakout, saboteur, mettle of man, try it

I've seen hooks on the new map less than ten feet apart.

It's irrelevant if the killer can hook a survivor regardless because there's a hook less than 10 metres away!
0 -
Ya, I'm aware. But now we have the opposite issue where there are too many hooks.
0 -
No, it isnt.
Lets continue without arguments.

Absolutely it is. Survivors react to the killer, not the other way around. If you're not getting your downs as killer it's because you're mindgaming yourself. Learn to mindgame or give in to the loop outside of jungle gyms.

Go throw on those perks and do it on the new map and let me know how that works out for ya. You can't 99 hooks anymore which means you have to be in place and ready to drop as the killer is approaching you. And since killers are faster than survivors when carrying you won't be able to get to the next hook before the killer. And breakout is isn't nearly instant. It still takes a bit of time. Not enough to get to another hook on the new map.

Really? Interesting. Hooks are randomely placed for the most part, right? Must have just been some unfortunate luck.

Sabo isn't something that should work 100% of the time or even 75%. It takes a bit of coordination to pull off as it should.
What we shouldn't want is sabo being something that punishes a killer for doing well in chases. They should be rewarded with a hook in most of the situations and not being able to hook should happen in a small amount of games. If they can't hook they will just slug even more like it was back in 2016.
Sabo is something which should give survivors something else to think about doing for fun nothing more.

Thats only if survivor never consider to move to another loop when killer is backpedalling.
Killer can pick only 1 of 4 survivors and 1 sacrifice take longer than all gens to complete.
Tell me more about "reacting".

That's highly dependent on the map your on and the spawn logic of that trial..
