Wraith afk , normal ? grief ? bannable
Hello dear people of the fog;
I have recently encountered some wraith player who just don't play the game
I assume that this is on purpose because it's always with wraiths and when wraith is standing still he is completely invisible.
Is this considered normal? grief? Bannable?

They are likely trying to de-pip/de-rank to the less frustrating ranks, but this is probably the worst and lamest way to go about it aside from DC'ing. Ebony Memento Mori's and instant down tech De-pips killers just fine without them having to resort to these kinds of pathetic tactics.

Well, this can be seen as grief because you don't play the match that you have started
And farming because this give you rift xp + auric cells

I admit to kind of doing this yesterday. I wanted to try to learn the nurse and I could not do that going up against waves of red rank, what I presume to be, swf. I needed to derank so I made a game of it. I chose one gen to protect, anyone came near it I hit them, obviously being wraith they did not know I was there. What made it funny was I had Franklin's and their items were protected alongside the gen and we all know survivors will try to reclaim their items. Once the final gen was being worked on I then chose a door of death, it was funny sensing their confusion as I stood there invisible and they were trying to get to the lever to open it. Then I revealed myself and claimed items again. Not normally toxic in any way but it was funny to me.
I realised this was unfair to the survivors, not fully getting their BP or pips, so I changed this to just running around hitting them. Huge apologies to all in my games yesterday.
I'm still terrible with nurse lol.

It's a free game, so do gens then leave.
Though it's surprising how much time people waste when they know killer is AFK.

it's not exploit, maybe. but making survivors wait for a lobby, burn some offerings, enter a game, do some gens and escape with zero killer interactions isn't the nicest thing one can do

What if the Wraith is just that bad and he gets almost to no points and gets reported?
What if I let my nephew play for a bit and doesn't know how to cloak out and he gets no points?
These reports can also be abused.

So if you Akf or decide to play without hitting survivors for whatever reason... survivors can still bully you and click and dance and all that. And they cant points for that chase and stuff.
If you decide to hide as wraith and never look at survivors because you've gotten 37 matches in a row of angry people mad you hooked them and you just think its better to let them go and enjoy a stroll around the fog.
You might enjoy hiding as wraith because if you wait at the gate and open it you get the points and they dont. If they never see you and dont open the gate and they gen rush you end up with around 3k-4k bp at the match end and they only get around 6-8 and safety or depip.

You waste time, offerings, addons, depip because you are denied 2 emblems and win ######### for bps.

You get XPs, which result in Rift Fragments.
If you play vs an AFK-Wraith, you will most likely depip, because you cannot get any Points in Evader or Benevolence.

Happens...do gens, leave. Move on. Had a trapper AFK once. We found him and started doing dances around him until the EGC timer almost went off. Another time there was an AFK killer and as we were dancing around him he came back to life and hit the Bill and eventually hooked him. I had that happen to me once. The Wraith was AFK all game. Once we got all the gens done he came to life and downed someone. I unhooked him and he escaped but I got downed and I was the last one and he downed me...and then boom dead...cypress mori. I was thinking about that too...say a killer parked himself in front of the gate one where there was a hook nearby, he stays afk...or so you think he is AFK and start dancing around him and stuff and he has NOED, Blood Warden, Rancor and a cypress mori. Gate gets powered and then he starts whacking people. Every time I come across such a killer...back of my mind I am thinking this could be a nasty trick.

There isn't an in game reporting system for Xbox is there and Xbox sure won't do anything about that?

There is in the game. You click the 👍👎 next to their name at the end of the game and options pop up. I use it all the time to report d/c's. I use to give thumbs up but since I turned off the ability for random to message me I don't want to accidentally thumbs up someone who in reality sends salty messages when they lose.
As far as you reporting their XBL Gamertag then no I doubt Microsoft cares that someone AFK'd in a game.

So that goes to Behaviour then and not XBL? And from what I know reporting dcs is supposed to be useless as they have some automatic system to track those even before the penalties on PC and PS4.

Far as I know it goes to bHVR. I dunno how it all works I just use it cause it's there. I don't really expect anything to come of it, though.

Your rules state nothing on being afk, I understand that it can be abused; can being a word of may meanings. But I think the question is, if a killer decides for a match that they just really don't want to deal with what they are stepping into and don't want to face the DC penalty and decide the corner of the map looks cooler than the survivors... Would this killer be subjected to a report ticket by said survivors of that match for being afk? Or is this something that some killers can do since it doesn't hinder the game "unplayable" by survivor means

So they have to include the words "for killer AND survivor side" on everything? When the ingame report specificly states AFKing a match, I think its being very clear.

Your objectives as a survivor are to; "Survive" and "do generators to survive" where does it state a killer NOT trying to kill you is reportable?

I think you can report that but don't expect action to be taken unless they get an overwhelming amount of reports
There no way of knowing wether that wraith player actually was farming rift points or had something come up while the game was loading

They could be genuinely AFK. Maybe they had been in a lengthy queue, which is highly common, and went to the toilet or make a sandwich, whatever.
It's irritating as survivors can't see him. Couldn't this be remedied with a flashlight (If you were lucky and had Premonition or Spine Chill)?
Of course this AFK is open to abuse, but proving that can be tricky.
It's also highly annoying either way if you have been waiting for a match for an extended length of time.
If I find myself in these situations, I do the gens and leave. Next match.

I got a few of those afk Wraiths. The last one I got, match started as normal, we began fixing. I was using Spine Chill and after moving to another gen, the perk lit up, so I knew the killer was near, but he did nothing. Then, one of the other survivors was trying to destroy a totem, that was between walls that can be body blocked and that was what the killer did, so the survivor could not get out, nor could we help. So we fixed the gens and left. The survivor died after the endgame collapse. If I see killers or survivors afk for the whole match, I always report them at the end, using the ingame report.

I have had this last night I had a wraith and a plague who were AFK. The wraith ever moved but the plague when we finally found her after repairing a couple of gens she just ran away. The other gens got completed and she opened the exit didn't hit any of us but swung her weapon to tell us to leave sort of thing.

With AFK Wraith, I think a lot of their frustration has to do with the fact they don't know which direction to tea-bag.

The amount of people who are saying "just take the free win" is way too high. It is about playing the game someone queues up to. If I am in a queue to play a game, I expect to play it. And not have to press M1 for a few minutes, get my escape and blackpip, if I am lucky.
Doubt Killers would find it appealing if all 4 Survivors just stay afk the whole game.

Banning by unintentional afk is not fair
Today at 8am Portugal time, was waiting my killer nerby 20 minutes to find a match, so I went to have breakfast, after it, noticed match already started like woth3 gens done and survs t-baging ...
So accidentally killers tired of waiting in matchmaking can be wrongly reported

I wouldn't personally have an issue with afk killers if it weren't for the fact that all the survivors in the match are forced to de-pip because they can't interact with the killer when they're afk. When a survivor is afk the killer can still hook them, get a free sacrifice and an easy win. but when the killer is afk the survivors can't do anything and are to forced to face a loss that they can't prevent.

The better way is to just let them farm you. You can even stab them. Just dont hook. I did the same thing when i wanted to learn nurse. Dress up as santa follow survivor till you get to loop, start smacking pallet and looking at them. Most of them figure it out pretty quick. Then they get excited. I got so many thank yous its stupid

I see way more survivors AFk than any killer, tbh.
Survivors will literally go in a locker and then go poop.
