Steam sales, Xbox Game Pass. I say that if you love this game and want to see it grow, that you shouldn’t rely on sales or game pass to play it.

Considering DLCs are 8 bucks a pop, with about 10 of them, and cosmetics are 10-20 bucks a piece, getting the game for free or on sale is perfectly fine. Especially now that they have the battlepass. They have PLENTY of income.

I'm waiting for some semblance of balancing competence from the devs in regards to keys, gens, and the worst killers.

People have different financial situations. To someone without much expendable income (especially minors and poor college students), the $4 saved by waiting for a sale may be a good amount to them. I think that it's very rude of you to call these people lesser fans because they try to be more conservative with their money.

I bought the game and all dlcs on ps4, xbox, pc and switch. I really like the game, even with all of the complaining I do on the forums, and want to support the devs so they continue to add more to the game. I only purchase auric cells on PS4 though, that's my platform of choice to play and can't afford to spend roughly £100 just to have the same cosmetics on the characters every month or two.

I bought the game on Halloween Sale. DLCs and Auric Cells are relatively expensive, and for a game with almost 9 million sales, I recommend purchasing what you want when it's cheaper, these additional 2 dollars or so won't make that much of a difference to them. But to you, it's always good to save some money. For some reason though, Auric Cells never go on sale. 🤔

No, not anymore. After I saw devs pattern in terms of all the bugs, instantly closed support tickets that marked "solved" and overall game health, I don't have any desire to support the game. I bought Leatherface and Halloween chapters, Freddy and Piggy with auric cells back in the day when I just started playing. The rest were purchased with shards.

I have bought the Halloween DBD Edition and 1 dlc to the full price. Also ... I guessing 60-70% of the cosmetics I have bought.
The other dlcs I have buy as they were for sale on steam and also some cosmetics as they were on sale.
Not every killer is a must have for me and if it is so I tend to wait for cheaper prices. By the cosmetics it is, because many cosmetics are just re-skins imo (aka. a new texture above a old 3d model) and also there I tend to wait for cheaper prices.

Do you know how much do they earn with cosmetics only? No? Then let me tell you they can afford buying an iPhone for every one of their over 500 workers. And by the way, don't tell me what I should do with my money. It's none of your business.

I only play the game because its on my pass, if it costed money I wouldn't buy it since honestly once you start to watch videos about the game you realize that it's basically just distracting the killer or you do gens, and for killer you just win or get genrushed . But I did buy Jeff and his black metal outfit.

I vote with my wallet. If I like where the game is going, or a recent change, I'll be more willing to drop cash. If I don't, I won't.

Yea I do. I pre-ordered it back when I first saw in in the "Coming Soon" section. I use to buy all the DLCs but then I noticed I could just buy the Killers by themselves and save $3.
