Geforce Experience (Nvidia)
Hi, I've been using Geforce Experience for a bit now and I love it! I'm still trying to find a way to make my game look better tho, but I'm not sure what to modify with my Nvidia. So, if you are using it, please let me know your settings so I can try them and hopefully make my game look better than it is rn. Thank you very much :D

You can use the brightness filter.

When you open Geforce Experience in game, you should see a button called "Game Filter."
If you're asking what filters to use, I recommend Brightness/Contrast and Details. Just play with the sliders for each option to see what you like.
I highly recommend using the Sharpen feature though. DBD can be rather blurry, and it looks so much better with a sharper image.

I only do things to brighten the game. It's way too dark for me. As others have said, use a brightness filter. I also disable anti-aliasing

This helped me and it helped my gameplay as well.

The setting are Relatively the same.
It helped me learn what filters I can add, how not to make it look so Saturated.

My Brightness and Contrast isn't visible though, it wouldn't fit in one picture but play around with it.
It's fun.

Please spare a thought for us poor console users who have to play the base game with no mods while you PC people are self modding the game to be actually playable ;’)
The game is that horrible dark setting all the time and there’s nothing we can do about it. Scratch marks are really easy to lose because they’re that horrible default dark red that barely shows through all the ground clutter (that you can also reduce with low PC settings for an advantage).
Perhaps when console users are having trouble you guys could point out how much better the game is to play on PC due to the fact you can make it playable.
This is a big reason I would not want crossplay with PC as it’s not just superior controls with M+K but there are massive advantages such as this that would make a noticeable impact on the gameplay experience.

That's what I was trying to say haha. I could post a pic of my settings, but everyone has different preferences. Just play around with each of the sliders and see what you like!

Oh, I'm not self modding the game to make it easier.
I'm adjusting the settings because I want it to look pretty, I only showed ONE setting I have and it's the best setting for Killer. But I use a "Bloom" setting 99% of the time because it makes the fog look beautiful in a dark setting.
See for yourself.

I feel your pain. Once I discovered these NVIDIA settings, I never went back. The base graphics are horribly optimized.

The ones that shocked me were some of the streamers.
When I look at Kings videos it looks almost impossible to lose scratch marks due to how vibrant they are, I think if was Tofu who used low settings to basically remove the majority of grass etc and leave bare ground to track easier.
Its no wonder some PC players think the console criers are overreacting etc when there’s so many little QoL things that make huge differences in gameplay quality; I wish I could play with it looking like that - the Lerys rework lighting looks incredible on PC for example.

You have settings to help survivors ?

Help you what?
It's good if it's dark for survivors. Best I can do is help you make your screen a little brighter that will help you in maps like Yamaoka or some MacMillan maps.

Sorry, it's ALT Z.
But first!
Open your GeForce Experience application.
Then go to settings.
Then to go
In Game Overlay and allow it to be used.
Go to settings, and when you're done, open Dead by Daylight and press ALT+Z.
It opens a Pop Up Menu and chose In Game Overlay, that opens the menu that lets you adjust different modifications to your in game color scheme.
