Red ranks killers only

Former rank 1 myself.

I want to get a new killer, but I am unsure which.

Take into account the following:

  • How effective the killers is against SWF
  • How many BP you can get with the said killer
  • How hard you can stomp a team
  • And the MOST important one, how fun and unstressful it is to play the said killer versus a competent team.

What to buy:

  1. Deathslinger
  2. Ghostface
  3. Hag

i would recommend you to go for Ghostface.

not only is he quite good and super fun, he is also the only killer out of these 3 who is licensed, hence not obtainable with iridescent shards through the ingame store.

the strongest out of the 3 would probaply be the Hag. though she doesnt seem to be very fun to play, as she is the killer with the lowest pick rate in the whole game.

the most fun would probaply be Deathslinger, though he is lacking power, especially against coordinated teams.

From those 3 killers I personally prefer ghostface, I used to main him has really good mind game potential, the problem is dedicated servers with him, punishes him way too hard, a single mistake can make you lose a gen, also OoO is one if not the most annoying perk when you are using him.

I like using deathslinger but I hate playing against him, kinda like legion, hate playing against him love using him, he has probably one of the strongest chases, close to spirit and nurse.

Hag is a set up killer, basically a stronger trapper, and you can do extremely nasty things with her such as make your choice + teleporting addons, she is what people say "an old reliable" her height makes her really good on certain tiles but flashlights are....... F@#k flashlights against her, so you gotta put her traps on certain places hard to flashlight destroy the trap.

That is what I think on those 3 killers, I can't tell you what to get, I suggest watching some videos before you buy any.

I can either buy one with iridescent shards or get ghostface for 3 euros atm, so thats not a problem.

I imagine Deathslinger gets stale and boring after seeing the same shot + pull + hit animation everytime after a couple of games

Hag is the strongest killer out of these 3 (in my opinion). However she can't be played "aggressively". You always have to take your time to turn loops into battlefields and you can't really afford to plain "chase" with her due to 110% ms.

Ghostface is pretty strong and very easy to play. Just cancel your terror radius and get easy hits/downs on survivors working on gens. Works great unless they run Spine Chill (even then you can walk to gens while looking to the side to counter Spine Chill). Also he can stalk/instadown so you have an additional way to get people when you can't afford to hit them twice.

Deathslinger is relatively strong 1 vs 1 but if you face gen-aggressive survivors you'll have a hard time due to his 110% ms. Hag's traps kinda make up for her slow movement speed. Deathslinger ALWAYS has to close distances by walking. If survivors start with the middle gen and loop decently he will definitely struggle most of the time.

I share the exact same thought about deathslinger, even though i didnt play him, only watch a couple of vids

    GF.

Hag is horrible against SWF teams and you need to think a lot while playing her.

Deathslinger is horrible against SWF teams too and he got the map pressure of a rock.

Deathslinger is pretty basic. He's got a small TR and a harpoon gun. Thats all there is to him really. He can end chases pretty fast, but his 110% speed impair him on bigger maps.

Ghostface is pretty good but in... sort of badly designed way ? The best way to use him is to not stalk most of the time. You only want to stalk in some specific scenarios or abuse the 99% mechanic. But he is definitly strong.

Hag is the most unique. Her playstyle is different from any other killer. You really don't want to commit to long chase with her. Use her traps to be everywhere at once. A lot of survivors fail to adapt their game plan when going againt a hag leading to some easy stomps. Also she is surprisngly sneaky, because she is short and hunched with a small TR, making M&A a great perk for her.

depends, I personally prefer Hag cause I know how to play her best

GF: if you get into a SWF lobby, they gonna keep looking at you while you in a chase and therefore your ability won't help much

Hag: Medium map pressure, if you're not good at placing traps, swf gonna inform each other and step on it while you in a chase or picking someone up.

Deathslinger: Skill-based killer, if you're good with fps games or good shooter, you can dominate them pretty easily, but if you're not, you don't even get a kill unless tunneling and camping.

Of the 3, I'd say Hag. None of the 3 options are that great against a good SWF though. What Hag brings is unreal map pressure and snowball potential. For BP, kind of splitting hairs, but Deathslinger might net you more points.

Overall though, Hag is by far the best of the 3. Ghostface is really bad against SWF. Very poor map pressure and chase potential if players can play safe because they know that their teammates are on gens. Deathslinger just doesn't have enough tools in his tool chest to beat good teams.

how does one play killer against four players and think the game would be easy? you play killer because you want a challenge not whine until the devs just let you kill survivors with one hit.

Ghostface is probably the strongest (stalking isnt that useful tbh)

Deathslinger is really fun and you can pull some nice shots off (takes more skill)

Hag, well i dont much enjoy playing games as her, while shes strong against weak survivors (every killer is) she lacks against good survivors, getting alot of pressure as a trap placing killer can be hard if going against survivors that do gens.

    Overall strength wise 1.GF 2.DS 3.Hag

    Fun 1.DS 2.GF 3.Hag

Quick BP 1.DS 2.Hag 3.GF (stalking is really the only way to get deviousness, if theyre clued on it can be hard. while hag can boost deviousness quickly i dont feel she can be as strong or fun as deathslinger)

All up to you tbh, but against a full swf that know how to actually play the game most killers cant do much

I only know Hag the best. I get her free through playstation. Would I recommend her? I want to, but I don't think I could unless you are willing to put in the time with her. It's so satisfying to teleport and smack, so satisfying to watch your web work beautifully. However, the time you take to setup will, almost guarantee a gen or two, sometimes even three. So it can be stressful. Personally, I ignore the gens. I focus on my traps and chases. I need to herd the survivors to my traps and if they leave or avoid them, then that chase no longer matters. She's 110 as well, so the whole experience can feel sluggish.

She's a ton of fun, for sure, and for me, she's not stressful. However, she will require a different attitude than what you're likely normally used to. I don't have Ghostface, but his gameplay looks fun. Deathslinger will require some practice, but he is a ton of fun even as you're practicing.

In addition, if you want to spend money, I suggest putting money in on the licensed killer, because the other two are obtainable via shards.

Just my thoughts on the matter <3 I am a Hag main, so I figured I could give ya some insight on her. She is the least picked killer, and for a nearly similar reason. She takes time. She can be infuriating to the point where there is no reward. In contrast, she can be sooo rewarding when she works. She relies on a strong web and efficient trap placement. Haha, I often refer to her as a off-brand nurse because of her ability to teleport.

Hag but only if you can get a grasp on her play style and understand what to prioritize such as should you commit to this chase, drop this chase, focus on resetting your web of traps, protect this side of the map because of gen placement, ect. She can stomp any uncoordinated team with ease and against swf if your pretty good with her and have a proper build you can be on equal grounds with them or even just win if they try to commit to saves.

The most competitive build i use for hag is monitor & abuse, nurses calling, make your choice, and pgtw. this build makes sneaking up on survivors easier and actually gets you a lot of downs from people just trying to heal. make your choice gets you that instant down every now and then but this perk can be replaced with save the best for last for quicker use of your traps if they get triggered rapidly. pgtw is often needed against good teams since they will try to focus on gens that your protecting however you should be able to down them quick enough in your set up to effectively use pgtw to stop a gen they are trying to complete.

You shouldnt be disappointed he`s a good killer, id recommend going for the add-on that reduce recovery of your ability, his strongest feature is he can drop his terror radius when he wants giving free hits or even confusing people on loops. he is a 4v1 killer though meaning if you dont juggle well you dont gain his full potential.
