Would You Use Insidious If It Had This Feature?
Insidious is a simple perk that does what it says it does; once you stand still for a certain amount of time, you become undetectable.
Though this perk stops having use once you realize that time standing still and setting up plays with it is time that is not spend putting pressure on survivors. When you do this, you risk not finding anyone at all to surprise. This makes an otherwise wacky and fun perk pretty rare to see.
When paired with Whispers, Surveillance, or other perks of the type, it can help you better set up plays. But that's two perk slots for a build that may not even get any use.
I think a small addition to Insidious would make it more viable, or at least a little less costly to use. It would act both as a stealth and minor detection perk.
When you become undetectable via Insidious, you can see the aura of all survivors within a 10/12/14 meter radius.
Would you use this perk in a build if it had just a bit more information with it?

No, other.
I think it's a good idea for changing the perk. I personally still wouldn't use it and I think other killers would still use it for the purpose of camping. Just with the other killers perks in the game there isn't much of a reason to run insidious if that makes sense.

No, its just as useless as it was before.
It's still a camping perk. But now, you can stop survivors before they do whatever your camping as you see them coming! Wow! You made the problem you described even worse as theirs even more incentive to camp!

No, you still have to stand still.
I don't like that.

The point of the perk is inherently flawed, no killer should stand still. And if BHVR buffs it then it'd only become a stronger camping perk.

Yes, helps make setting up less risky with the information
No amount of 'incentives' is going to stop camping. IDK why this has to be reiterated; it doesn't matter, because the fundamental design of the game is flawed, relying on one side or the other snowballing rather than having a back-and-forth.
Camping doesn't get "better or worse" unless something is done about the game's fundamental design, and it doesn't reward the Killer so heavily for getting early kills.
I address this here:

I never said it stopped camping, I said it gave MORE incentive to campers

How? If they're using Insideous they're already hell bent on camping.
If they see nobody's auras popping up it may incentivize them even more to head out and actually play the game. If they do..? Oh well.

If someone's brought insidious now they'll camp even though they don't know if anyone is coming, now even if they did see that no-one was there, they'd still stay just in case someone comes.

This.
If BHVR were to change Insidious, they should rework the perk so it can no longer be used for camping.

How bout this
Insidious:
You revel in misguided hope of those less fortunate.
The first person you start a chase with becomes the Obsession.
If the obsession is hooked, 1 or 2 (depending on rarity) are given endurance till 2 or 1 gens are done (again on rarity.) You are also given the aura of the healed for 5/10 (again on rarity) seconds. If anyone comes within 20m of the hooked obsession, they lose the endurance, if the affected unhook the obsession, they lose a health status. If they are injured they obtain the Broken status effect for 60/90 seconds (rarity.) If the obsession dies, you gain 50% extra BP in Brutality.
It may be a bit OP.

Personally I would like BHVR to keep the Terror Radius suppression design of Insidious, but change it so it can no longer be used for camping purposes. You know how as Ghostface, you see auras through BBQ then use Night Shroud for stealthy approach? A perk that activated X seconds after hooking a Survivor and suppressed your TR for Y/Y+5/Y+10 seconds, but revealed your aura if choose to stay close to the hook during the suppression period is something I would have fun using.

Yeah that's way better than what I was thinking.

Insidious is an outdated perk that has seen absolutely no change (aside from making it officially the undetectable status effect) since 2016. Funny enough, I was just thinking about insidious the other day and a possible change to it:
After standing still for 4/3/2 seconds gain the undetectable status effect for as long as you stand still and for 5/10/15 seconds after moving or until a survivor has been hit. This would change insidious from one of the most underused killer perks, to possibly the quintessential stealth perk, changing literally any killer to a stealth killer, the ability of which can be used whenever as long as you stand still. Imagine standing still in a jungle gym for maybe 3 seconds and you turn stealthy to hide your red stain and mindgame the pallet or window.
My overall point is that there are plenty of ways insidious can be buffed or reworked to become relevant again, it doesn't need to be relegated to irrelevancy or completely reworked the way Tinkerer was oh so long ago. I don't know which would be better, more balanced, whatever, my suggestion or the OP, but I just generally agree that Insidious needs a change. Whatever it is

I would change it for something to force survivors to use brain like ; "When you hook survivor he cant be unhooked for 20 seconds". Or just add that to hooks as general - on pretty much every single killer without instant kill it happens way to much. Survivors comes in group, make circle around hooked one, and start unhooking. You as killer cant move through them, cant kill them, cant do nothing. Every time i get survivors like this i pick leatherface wiith Insidious and iron grasp, hook survivor in the basement and ill just camp behind wall. they come as 2 or 3, i just prepare chainsaw and hook them all in basement. It always work :D
So you see - its connected. If they would change it to prevent camping then they should also prevent survivors from forming wall. Maybe by adding "in proximity of hooked one you get exposed status" ? If not then what freddy, or demogorgon, or hag, or pig, or clown, or legion, or 20 more killers should do? survivors can just ignore them, rescue and flee away without giving anything to killer :P

Buff Leatherface ? Hah. No.

No, Insidious is fine as it is.
Insidious is absolutely fine as it is. Any other buffing to it would just feel unfair to those poor survivors. LOL I dunno how the majority of other killers use it to have voted it useless but it is awesome.
