There needs to be a fix
Hello, so I don't know if I'm the only one who's been experiencing this however, I'm having some serious issues with some of the mechanics in game. At most points it just seems unfair for the survivors, and some points it seems unfair for the killers. But playing as survivor lately I've had little fun and it makes me wanna play killer or just leave the game and play something else. The main issue I'm finding is the distancing between hooks on the map. Maybe it's just me but it feels like the hooks are so close to eachother that I have almost no chance to wiggle off (and that's a issue when it only takes 3 hooks to kill me and remove me from the game entirely.) In addition to the fact that hooks are too close, killers (not all) tend to camp the hooks or stay in a close proximity. So whenever someone gets off, they'll just hit and knock the person down again. Then put them on the hook and repeat the process till that person is gone. Even with the perk of further distance hooks they're still a plenty for the killer. I personally remember when being a killer meant having a fun challenge. Having struggles that made you feel like you had to outsmart the survivors. Now when I play killer, (even ones I don't play like the nurse) I have a incredibly easy time finding and killing the survivors.
Here's a example of what I mean so you can understand my frustrations. (And for those who have played I'm sure you'll feel the same)
Me and my PS4 friend got into a match playing against the pig. (The saw character) And already she's quite a difficult character to face. In the very beginning of the match both my friend and another random player spawned directly next to the killer. She easily knocked down and trapped the random. Then hooked the random not 2 meters away from where she got knocked down. That person left. (In some ways I don't blame them for doing so) but then the pig trapped the other random and she got the timer do to a generator being fixed. Luckily she escaped in the nick of time but not moments later my friend who had gotten hooked got saved by the random and the random player instantly got re hooked. Making the random struggle. The killer then camped the random and the random just gave up as left. (At that point I would have too) finally my friend and I were trying to help eachother complete two more generators when he got downed and rebooked and had to struggle. The killer camped him and I couldn't do anything. (Yet the killer got no penalties.) The only option I had left with 2 generators left to go was the hatch...oh but the killer found it instantly and closed it. Leaving me with the countdown before I died, also a two doors I had to open on the same side of the map next to eachother, and no one to help me. I LEFT THE GAME!
Hopefully that helps you understand the issues I'm having. The fact that the killer has multiple hooks that are within such a close proximity to eachother that are able to rebook survivors as soon as they're released is just...annoying. yes I want to be challenged both as a killer and a survivor. Yes I wanna have a sense of hopelessness as a survivor but when I can't even escape the hardest killers to play because of the games design rather than the killers skills is just ridiculous. If I'm meant to feel hopeless. I think it should be because of a intelligent killer, not because of 20 or so hooks all 10 meters apart. Or a countdown timer that prevents me from escaping rather than the killer being intelligent and finding smart ways to kill me.
Some fixes I can think of:
°make it so that the hooks break after a survivor is released from the hook (reduces likely hood of being rebooked immediately)
°spread the hooks apart at a greater distance
°give the killer a penalty for being in the proximity of a hook after a certain amount of time
°GIVE THE KILLER SHACKS BASEMENT TWO (2!) EXITS! (The killers have countless times gaurded the exit, making it easy for them to re hook a already dying player)
There's many more fixes that I believe should be done but those are few I can think of. I really hope this gets attention. Thank you for reading!

In terms of hooks, what map was it and did the Killer have an offering to put the hooks closer together, one of the oaks? Camping is just something you have to deal with as a Survivor, no matter how unfun it is to play against, just do the gens and punish the Killer for camping. The Devs mentioned that camping and tunneling are legit strategies so I doubt they'll do anything about it any time soon.

No it was no particular map as badly as i wanna say a name of one, also no the killer did not have the offering on most if not all of the occasions i played today. Here is a example of what i'm talking about.
in one photo there is 2 hooks all within a very close proximity, the next photo shows a hook that is also next to the other two. Also the last photo is a screenshot of the killer literally watching my friend as if hes in love with him. lmao. But survivors shouldn't have to deal with that, especially when most times that very play gets you put right back onto the same hook after you get off. It also left no way for the other two to save my friend without getting hit. The devs should understand that this isn't representing the hopelessness the killer should bring you. This is purely the game itself bringing that, with a killer camping a hook in the basement which only has one exit...

First of all if you have an issue with this, do you have an issue with the three generators that are so close together that unless a killer is close or very fast travel, three survivors can have them done before the killer get across the map?
Honestly the killer probably played a purple oak or a green oak to bring hooks closer to each other. hooks are randomly placed and there is a metric the game does to place them beyond the fact that a hook can not face outside of the map (spawing next to a wall and facing outside the play area and thus is unusable) they must not interfere with other structures on the tile as well as the final metric really that they can not be within X meters of each other without modification (the oaks). some maps are smaller and have a smaller X than others with a larger map and larger X so it's hard to say if this was due to a bug, or an offering.

Definitely a great point about the generators and I couldn't disagree with you. Though I will say that it's definitely difficult as a killer to kill all the survivors especially when generators do get taken care of pretty quick. (Especially when on some maps generators are close &/or a plenty to find.) However like I showed to another person who had also asked me a similar question about the offerings...no. there was no secret offering or visible offering during these times. Added to that I decided to do a custom game with my good friend so we could examine the maps on the game. We noticed two things while testing this. 1st was that hooks (without any offerings or anything special) were a plenty and also close by. 2nd, we tested how hard it was for the killer to get to a hook at various distances. (Essentially by seeing how fast a survivor could wiggle off and at what distance away from the hook was this possible) once we did that we found that the killer would have to be at a good distance away from the hook for the survivor to even have a chance to wiggle off. And while this seems reasonable...it's not when there's 3 or more hooks within a radius closer than that of the time it takes to wiggle off.
Now to go back to your statement about the generators and how close they are, as well as the short time it takes to complete it. Yes it also to needs fixed and though I didn't bring it up in the initial comment on my post I did say "there are problems with the killer and the survivors."
The issue I see with the generators is that you have 4 survivors all with different backgrounds and Abilities as well as their lore, who most probably couldn't comprehend how to fix a generator. Especially in such a quick manner. A fix I'd love to see for this is, different challenges placed around the map other than just generators. Each with varying times of repair.
EXAMPLE: 2 generators with the normal repair time we know, electric box that needs fuses to be placed correctly, (essentially a small minigame to put the fuses in the right area) letting for a varying time requirement. And possibly 2 switches that are unknown to the survivor that have to be switched to turn on the lower supplied from the generators. And fuses.
Now this isn't realistic to the way that the game is designed or built, but i say this so that not only would the game have more replayability, but also have more reasonable challenges for the survivors to have to face that fit with what makes sense.
This combined with the hooks extended distances give both the killer and survivors a true, varying chance as to who would be the victor, as well as give both a genuine challenge that I would look for in both a killers perspective and a survivors perspective
