Thread Disappeared? Forum noob question

I'm a long time lurker but have only started posting recently.

I just posted a rather lengthy post and quickly got several replies. Before I could check it though the thread has vanished from my list and clicking on the notification says that the 'thread cannot be found'.

It was not an angry or provocative post. There was no profanity or hate speech. What are the common reasons for threads being taken down almost instantly?

I -did- go back to edit the post, once immediately after posting because I had misspelled a word, and then after to add an additional point I later thought of. Could that have triggered a deletion?

I do not want to repost it if it is simply gone and awaiting some sort of approval or something. 😅
