Is the yellow mori basically useless? Since the last person usually trolls and is hard to down?
It is almost like the last person is immune to yellow moris. They need a stronger impending force! The yellow mori needs to be updated, IMO.

It depends what you define as "useless".
The Cypress Memento Mori is just a reward for 4king, that's about it. If you'd like to kill someone much earlier in a more... "fair" way, than you can use an Ivory Memento Mori on someone that's on death hook (that means they're dead if they get hooked again).
Cypress Memento Mori's don't really need an update, since there isn't anything to add, unless of course they rework entirely what it's for. But as it stands, there's nothing to really add since the offering is just an alternative end to the last Survivor you down, it even works on Survivors that're left in the trial... so if 3 people escape than it activates for you to use.

honestly I bring it to make survivors think I have an ivory and it pops up as a treat if im going to 4k because I forget I have it

Sometimes it makes Survivors play worse when they know a hidden offering is present, so that also helps with the idea of being a bigger threat, which makes more mistakes happen as a result.
But yeah, Cypresses are easily forgotten when you know it only works on the last remaining Survivor.

it is very funny to see survivors crumble under the pressure when they think they will be morried

Cypress Moris are supposed to be weak, they're only uncommon rarity. Their main purpose is to help you out with any "kill by your hand" challenges or dailies you may have without costing you a lot to bring, because as you observed, mori-ing the last survivor is practically the same as hooking them.

Happens a lot, I can see why since the fear of Ebony Memento Mori's is very real. Sometimes it's scarier than the Killer themselves, which is odd to think about.

I disagree.
Since you can't remove people from the game early with it, i'd say it's a fair version of the mori.
It helps with getting a mori daily done while ensuring noone will be pissed by getting cheesed out of the game.

When you're rarely able to execute it though, it's more trouble than it's worth and you'd be better off with green or ebony. Dude yellow mori is like an oxymoron, is basically useless and not scary whatsoever, especially with the Endgame Collapse, and...essentially is useless for killers.

It wasn't meant to be as damaging as a Ivory or Ebony mori, that's why it's rarity is uncommon.
All a Cypress Memento mori does is give you an alternative option when killing the last remaining Survivor, that's it, there isn't anything you can add or take away from that concept...

Its how moris should be
they shouldnt be able to completely wreck a game simply because the killer wants to go on a power trip and ruin the experience for 4 other players

That's not what oxymoron means, but aside from that, as FireHazard said, it's not supposed to be good. It's more common and cheaper than Ivory or Ebony, which is the advantage, and it's just supposed to be an option if you want to try to use it. Not every mechanic that isn't powerful needs to be buffed.

This one isn't weak, it's actually useless. Like how the crow perk was before.
Using creativity, one can see that an offering that is designed to kill that actually happens to kill no one often, is quite oxymoronic.
