I don't get the "Basic Attack" condition

I don't understand why Killers like Spirit, Freddy, Nurse, Doctor, Ghost Face and Wraith are allowed to run Sloppy Butcher, Gearhead, Franklin's, Surge at their full potential, but someone like Legion, Pig, Hillbilly, Huntress cannot?

What the purpose of this condition? As I see - Basic Attack hurts specifically non-top tier Killers for... what?

honestly I couldn’t tell you why, if I had to take a guess it’s because it’s considered “too strong” or something. makes no since either as legion used to be able to apply status effects in FF but it was removed because legion is clearly way too powerful as is.

Because Billy's M2 is completely different than his Hammer which is a Basic Attack.

Same with Pig, her Dash is completely different input of command.

Obviously not stuff like that lol, although it would be a nice buff to them. 🤔

Just status effects like sloppy, blindness, stbfl stacks and remember me.

I hate to be this obvious but applying those perks to the M2/power of the killers you mentioned would be straight abuse. Also, I think several of those killers have add ons that apply some of those effects.

They could just change certain perks (Third Seal, Surge, Gearhead, Dark Devotion, Remember Me) to apply on any attack like they did with Infectious Fright. Then other perks where it might be too strong stay basic attack only, such as Franklin's (maybe), Sloppy Butcher and insta-downs (though those technically aren't applied by the attack, the Exposed status just only affects basic attacks).

Changing Surge, Dark Devotion and Sloppy would be a huge step in the righg direction imo.
