Thank you for addressing the fact that different scenarios apply to Survivors! Just like certain Killers are 'ez' compared to others it is a huge disservice to either side of the game to not acknowledge that some people are simply good because they invest their time and efforts in to learning how to be.
This is coming from a Survivor main who admits all day long that I am decent at the game, mediocre most days, passable at best. ^_^

Except in the last 12 months the vast majority of patch changes have been in killer's favor, not survivors. What, Ruin was your favorite perk?

As long as there are random groups with no comms, it never will be 'at that stage'. The only way that could happen without losing the larger part of their survivor base - random groups - would be to develop in-game comms for survivors and then tune the game as though all matches are SWF. Otherwise solo queues will just get railroaded and stop playing.

I'm with you, SWF is fun and that's how I play it. My luck has it so I'm constantly matched with SEAL Team 6 and, frankly, it's been tiring. Not much can really be done about the comms, I'm just airing a grievance about it.

And yet statistically the game is balanced slightly more in the killers favour.
Just because you aren’t very good at killer it doesnt mean that its the harder role.
Unless you mean all 4 on comms, in which case yes that is broken

Have you played this game for a year??
Self care was nerfed.
DS was nerfed.
Leader was nerfed.
Sabotage was nerfed (the action, not the perk).
Med kit addons were nerfed.
Toolboxes and their addons were nerfed.
Petrified oak, nerfed.
Windows were removed.
Loops were closed.
Palette numbers were reduced.
The number of unsafe palettes has increased.
Totems have been moved and better hidden.
The number of hooks was increased.
The distance between hooks was decreased.
Hook re-spawn rate has drastically increased.
Newer maps are smaller.
Some killers have received speed increases.
Some killers had all detraction removed from their abilities (Hag).
...the list goes on.

Breakable walls, end game collapse, Undetectable status effect, prestige clothing brightened, survivors making loud screams when they fall from a height, Balanced Landing nerfed, Freddy and Doctor buffed, dedicated servers, loss of add ons, etc. etc. etc.

It is easy when you have good teammates, otherwise it's very inconsistent. Just one perk can throw the game in the killer's favor, and that's self-care. Unfortunately, there's a lot of boosted potatoes that run selfcare, even in red ranks. Here's how it is for survivors based on ranks:
Solo:
Brown: Pure chaos, inconsistent outcomes
Yellow: Locker simulator, self-caring edition. R.I.P. to all the fast learners who do most of the work on their own while the rest hide.
Green: Dead by Tunnellight, camping edition, includes at least 1 blendette per match. ...What's teamwork?
Purple: Would you look at that, I'm not the only one doing gens.
Red (1st scenario/most common): Wow all the gens are actually getting done- wait, it's only been 5 minutes!
Red (2nd scenario): How did he go down in 10 seconds?! Why is she still self-caring in 2020 in red ranks?! Why is he hiding in a locker?! Oh wait, he's gonna- fml, he just missed his DS. Ok I got the first gen done, time to loop the killer. 5 years later Why aren't these gens popping?! gets downed, hooked, and camped. Looks at post game stats. He didn't even have DS......
Red (3rd scenario): I see pink man Ace, classic Nea with flashlight, and shirtless David, either this is going to be ochido simulator or I'm gonna be dragged into a chaotic meme game and we're all going to die in the first 2 minutes.
SWF:
Brown: everyone: confused screaming
Yellow: I call dibs on that locker!
Green: Guys we finally got a gen done!
Purple: Everyone presses F to pay respects to the one who didn't make it out alive
Red: Clicking intensifies GG2EZ baby killerino git gud

I have, but I don't recall Self Care before a nerf. Thanks for reminding me, I had forgotten.
Sabotage was ridiculous back when the hooks wouldn't reappear. This latest change is a good one, just 2.5sec for the clutch play and move on.
Med kit add-ons weren't nerfed, they were changed and are still good.
Infinite loops spawn in nearly every map.
Totems sure aren't well hidden. Some, certainly, but generally not.
Maps do still need work, some are simply too big for a number of killers.
No killer without PWYF or powers go above 115%
Hook changes are more balance than nerfings.
Who uses Leader? If anything, Prove Thyself needs nerfing (10% PER SURVIVOR is ridiculous. Gens already go fast enough).
I already mentioned the time limit change to DS.

Solo Q survivor is so much harder than killer, for veteran players. Extremely experienced players can get up to 95%+ win rates as a killer, but still get dropped as a survivor.
Why? It only takes 1 weak link for the killer to exploit to completely destroy a team. You can be an absolute god at looping / running object of obsession to get the killers attention but it doesn't matter if your baby kate without DS is getting tunneled into the floor at 5 gens left.
If all the survivors are good players, it is a cake-walk. But that is rarely the case.

just went from yellow to green rank killer and never lost a game. the stats are flawed and include the wrong part of the player base.
nobody does gens at these ranks, and the devs seem to be balancing around the assumption that nobody does gens at all ranks.

It's easy if you get a baby killer, or have a full squad who's all 5 ranks above the killer.
It's extremely painful as a solo these days will all the campers and tunnellers about.
If you actually played a season of survivor above rank 15, then maybe you'd learn the truth.

Yeah, these survivors don't understand the complexity of winning 95% of matches as a killer and coming to Reddit/Forums to cry when i lose the 5% of the rest.

Also, yeah Spirit and Freddy (who are 100% of red ranks) are very complex too. These darn survivor who don't understand the ability of having headphones and spamming m2 around loops.

The only thing I agree with is the SWF aspect but solo survivor is not easy mode because I get killed a LOT. lol...As killer I usually get at least 2 or 3 kills unless I'm just 2 hooking or going against a very good SWF team.

Balanced landing "nerf" or the toolbox "nerf". Which one are you using as your main point. Because neither was a flat nerf. And those are the only BIG changes recently. One of which came with the update making sabotage 10x easier.

How is making toolboxes faster, just with less charges, and able to sabo FASTER, a nerf hon?
Also, heres my CURRENT AS OF RIGHT NOW survivor page. Funny how people who say they play both, actually play both and not just using it to argue with someone who wants to play the side vs side complain card.

You are a rank 20 survivor, your opinion means absolutelly nothing, I'm sorry. I'm not saying it is harder than playing killer, it's different. Try playing solo queue and grow you some survivor skills to understando the difference. Spoiler Alert: Being good isn't enough to survive, you depend on other survivors and the kiler making mistakes, like tunelling the best looper.

Survivor is truly easy, the sucky part is just that, being a killer is easier and due to killers being spoon-feed for 2 years now, they just become spoiled.
Survivors used to be easy mode and if you not in red ranks, it can be decent, but red rank is awful, if you meet a killer that isn't brain dead, it will be a 4k for him every game, hit boxes, vaulting and now no toolboxes, I think you guys just need to chill a bit, if you aren't a scrub, you gonna 4 man every game pretty much :o

Not denying that there has been some balancing in the past that improved killer gameplay though. However most of it, or at least from what I remember, was justified in my opinion.
Because survivors never cry about anything? Oh... they just don’t want to understand the reality in their little world? Ignorant comments like this always end up working both ways, just saying.
This is in my opinion an accurate view of the situation. Solo queue can be a serious pain, but in my experience at least, terrible teammates that go down easily won’t change the gameplay drastically with large maps.

Depends. Is it soloQ with good teammates or antimates? Is it swf? SoloQ with current matchmaking is hell at times,if the game matches you with low ranks. Even when there's just one low rank,they most of the time get tunneled then its 3v1.

Well,I'm a moderately skilled killer (green to purple rank) same for survivor,and I agree. I main killer now,and with the way the matchmaking is,SOMEONE is going to escape almost no matter what. It varies depending on what killer I pick,but I'm seeing way more 4s than I used to. I might get lucky and get some low ranks and catch a 4k,but it's rare. I'm usually against reds and have to play so sweaty it's unreal. SWF,forget it.
When I started playing again a few months ago,I couldn't believe how many times I was escaping as survivor. Was like 80% or so. I feel like solo survivor it's easier to escape than to try and get a 4k against higher rank players that are dedicated and know every trick in the book. There's tons of variables,and just my opinion.

If survivor is so easy then explain how 3v1 is killer sided but 4v1 its survivor sided.the game is actually pretty balanced all i could say is maybe up gen times but max 20 seconds.survivor isnt as east as you want to make it seem because if it was 3v1 would still be survivor sided.to clarify 3v1 meaning 3v1 from start ie 5 gens.

I do and don't agree. I dont think killers should be miserable because of SWF groups. I also don't think solo survivors and random groups (the majority of DBD groups and the one I fall into) should be miserable because the game is tuned for SWF and Killers rn tend to be hellacious #########. Yet, here we are. It is very clear to me that more "balancing" is needed.

Well okay, maybe the Nurse and Spirit nerf weren't the best example because they're arguably still the strongest killers out there, but you get my point. Changes were made to both roles and neither one is going to like those changes if they were negative changes.
I just hope they rework more maps and make them smaller, while at the same time balancing Solo queue, SWF and killers accordingly as they said they would.
