Rant...ish?

So I've noticed that in my 4 years, 3000+ hours in this game the imbalance is prominent.

It definitely sucks playing as killer but there is much wrong with the survivor side as well.

Killers (not all) assume that ALL survivors are baby survivors and salty as always but never take into consideration that survivors have been forced to a play style as well.

Survivors (not all) assume killers are immediately going to play extra try hard or bully newer killers while not taking into consideration the skill the different killers take.

Both sides are flawed and there is no balance. Killers claim they were forced into a play style by toxic survivors, survivors claim it was the killers side. The reality, trolls and lack of balance on both sides. A match I had as a solo survivor lasted a whole minute long because the killer wanted the 4k and the other survivors rushed the hook. Killer slugged, tunnelled, and camped while I got screwed over by a farming team.

The reality is simple, the dev's claim to be doing a good job and the game itself is fun and great but there is no actual attempt at making the game better and balanced. I think the dev's should try reaching out better to their players of significant hours and gather honest, respectable opinions rather than listening to everyone complain about "DS hurt my feelings," or "they tunnelled/camped/slugged me," or "he insidious camped me." I'm so sick of watching killers blame survivors and survivors blame killers. I really want to see genuine opinions, not pointing fingers like children. If there was any care for the game, that would be what dedicated players would reach for and do.

I highly doubt it will ever be balanced completely with the pallet looping meta. The game would most likely need reworked in a lot of ways in order to fix a ton of issues. I don't feel the game is awful but it's far from fun all the time. Most killers are in a fairly weak state currently as a decent survivor can burn time at loops while others do gens. That's where the major problem i feel is with survivor. The only objective you really have if no one is downed or you're not being chased is to do generators and maybe a totem. It's a difficult to fix as they could add another objective, or extend generators times depending on maps and number of pallets on the map.

Maps are another issue on there own as bigger maps are harder to apply pressure in certain areas so gens can quickly be done in those areas. It's not perfect by any means and far from balanced currently, but hopefully since the ruin change the devs can find a way to balance things a bit more.

You can't however get rid of toxicity especially if people feel wronged by being camped/tunneled, as much as i hate to admit it is a valid strategy and quite effective for securing kills.

Yeah people need to play both sides more to gain some empathy for the other side.

Balance is subjective, killers want a game with kills and survivors want to escape. Their opposed goals make it hard to see it as balanced if the other side achieves their goals.

I guess the best way is to make maps a bit smaller, but ofcourse then spirit, nurse, freddy become op, while clown my now become just viable.

They have to switch the emblem system for killers, allowing pips based on hooks , chases, gens protected, and not kills. At least then one could rank up, without sweating over kills, and maybe still see it as a win.

Definitely. Both sides should be played.

90% (I'm being facetious) of nerfs have hit survivors, granted mostly for balances but at this point, as someone who has had the game since the beginning, it just seems like we are giving the killers wins. 77 perks in total for survivors and yet roughly 63% of the perks go unused because survivors are forced to have those perks.

Killers are also forced into a olay style by survivors who want to be toxic by hook rushing, gen rushing, flashlighting over pallets, just straight up bullying. So play styles are forced from killers.

It comes down to I think people need to play both sides before I really find said opinion valid. I have been Rank 1 Survivor and Rank 1 killer with my mains being Huntress, Hag, and Billy.
