Toxicity vs other games
The other day, I went and played R6S for the first time in about 6 months and was immediately reminded why I stopped playing.
Game 1: Team killed because I wasn't in the party.
Game 2: Abused verbally because I was opening up the rooms between bombs (something that is very common)
Game 3: Kicked out because I didn't win a 1v4 situation in secure.
My point being, whilst this game has its moments of toxicity, I find it a lot more entertaining compared to the salt I will get in other games. Does anyone else think about this or have games that are much worse via comparison?

I think League of Legends still takes the cake for toxic community.
As far as one that wasn't as bad usually I would have to say during my time playing World of Warcraft at least on the PVE side I never saw major elements of toxicity. Of course a lot of this is due to the fact that it's players vs. an AI opponent but there was always the chance that someone else screwing up was going to cause a wipe and that could lead to toxicity. And raid leaders going berserk on their teams after a close wipe was always something that went viral in the community, but on the average that wasn't the case.

I don't play enough PvP games to get the best sample, but my time in League of Legends generally had more toxicity than Dead by Daylight- At least, in actual matches/postgame chat. (oh, and for context: I never even set foot into Ranked play) Dead by Daylight's out-of-game community might be one of the most enflamed there is.
I think a major contributing factor is just the nature of the game. Because of DbD's asymmetrical nature, it can be hard for people who main one role to empathise with their opposite- And, thanks to the game's rocky road of balances and reworks, we've unfortunately got a load of Survivors and Killers who seem to believe any failed matches on their end are the fault of the game balance, plus the usual entertainment vampires distributed between who can apparently only have fun if they're trying to ruin someone else's.
But, thankfully, the silent majority do, in my experience, end things off with a gg and are generally respectful players. A silver lining to all the negativity you often see in this community is that it provides endless examples of how NOT to behave.

I think you're right about League. The first ranked game I played, my teammates were so abusive that I was in tears by the end and never went back. Nothing in DBD has ever gotten me anywhere close to that point.

Defenitely League of Legends. Some people play it so much, it becomes a part of thier life. One day a guy from my team demanded my adress and wanted to kill me because i played bad on ranked, imagine writing something like this because a video game and being so immautre (i wrote) then he responded he was 19. Arguing with someone smart is hard, but with someone dumb its impossible.

Honestly, even if my team mates are tilted at the end of a game you can always leave and not chat. Or report them, then leave.
Ingame is a different story, but it's all what you make of it.

It always confuses me when someone, upon being told that they're acting really immature, says something to the effect of "well I'm actually an adult". Like... you're not doing yourself any favours by saying that. At least if you were a twelve-year-old, you'd have an excuse for acting like one.

Almost every online game where it pvp is a thing has toxic people. Some worse than others depending on a person's experience with it.

People are just as immature irl.
I work in liquor retail and have done so for almost 5 years now, stand at about 6'6" and decently built. I get skinny little 18yro 5"5" girls yelling at me because THEIR ID is 3 months expired and I can't use it. People yell at me that "MY DATE OF BIRTH IS ON THERE, IT SHOULDN'T MATTER!" well, it kinda does because it's my career and fines large enough to buy a new car. But they don't care because it doesn't benefit them.
People are just more blatant with it online because of the anonymity of the internet. If it doesn't benefit them, then they will either ignore it or complain that it doesn't help them.

Siege is pretty bad, but I agree with other people here that league takes the cake out of every game i've ever played. Probably because you are trapped in the game getting stomped on for 15 minutes at the minimum if you are doing poorly. Or an entire 40m long match can be decided by one person's simple mistake of stepping in the wrong bush or something.
DBD? You are only trapped in the game as the killer, survivors can just suicide on hook and move onto the next. But I honestly don't see many salty killers, unless they are getting totally stomped into a 4 man out. It's usually survivors who get mad.

DbD is the most toxic game I've ever played. As a 1600h player this is my opinion. I have 800h in LoL, 400h in Dota, 100 in csgo, 400-500 in smite...
Only DbD made me uninstall the game several times because of other people. I just can't stand that people who threatened my life/made racist comments/targeted me still are playing. At least on the other games I mentioned they would be banned 100% for doing that.

The toxicity in this game is pretty bad.
The balance is even worse.

I mean DBD has yet to date get me DDoS or Swatted... Can't say the same for Rocket League. I think this game has a lot of Bark, but not a lot of bite. So I can live with it.

I don't play many online games. So I can't really speak to the toxicity of this game vs others. While I've run into a lot of people who are a bit toxic, I've also run into people who are just really nice. All types play the game, and I think its something easy to forget sometimes.

This game has nothing on Overwatch? You think entitled survivors are bad? You've never met a toxic Tracer or Genji main have you? Or encountered someone playing Brigete? Yeah, OW is an awful toxic game, and is dying out slowly, abetted by me, since Blizzard supports the brutal Chinese government.
Ironically, Team Fortress 2 is doing fine and has a pretty great community
