    If you get hit through a window, all that happened was on the actual live second of the game, the hit connected perfectly BUT you saw it slightly delayed and it seemed the killer was farther back and you were farther through the window and ye got hit.

    Yes i agree its crazy nobody talked about this ######### since the release, i know killers would be like its not that bad

    It's because either you or the Killer are too far from the nearest server. To the game, the hit connected perfectly but on your screen it didn't because of the connection. It'll probably take a long time to fix unfortunately.

    the killer has a default range through windows.

    if you get hit by the killer even though you're too far away, thats latency.

    It is mostly latency that you are talking about and they are working on what little they can do to improve that but if it taks 60 milliseconds to get information from the killer to the server then another 60 milliseconds to go from server to you, you will see things that happened 120 milliseconds when you think you are clear.

    Also it is known the killer can smack you through a window an over low fences. do you blame hit boxes when the killer is on one side of the window and you are on the other side playing peak-a-boo with them (say at shack window) trying to bait them to attack and hope you are far enough away in time? no. this is what people don't think about if the killer is at the window when they attack and you're just the other side you end up getting hit and you might see yourself several steps from the window but downed but 120 milliseconds before you weren't.

    I used numbers here just to make it simple, it will vary from person to person and second to second.

    The most you can do to avoid this is either;

    1. Play safe while looping
    2. Release your running button after performing action (Such as Vaulting or Pulling Pallets Down)

    Sometimes it isn't latency or just bad connection, it could also be the terrible "Dedicated Servers" that the devs decided to put in their game.

    It is the servers most likely.

    This is why I wish they'd add a "killer's connection" bar like they used to have during PtP matchmaking. Then I could look at a killer's connection to the server and decide if I want to deal with getting hit .3 seconds after I jump through a window.

    Ofc, but I hope people know they're most likely still going to get hit just as much, but it'll look better.
