Fire Up Buff?

This perk sounds really good and can be good if it gets a buff. It has so much potential that can help M1 Killers. Is should be buffed to 6% and give you a slight speed boost after hooking someone (only if you have stacks already). M1 Killers already struggle, if anything they need a speed increase of some sort to get around the map (not in chase though) and with gens getting done fast it can help counter it. What do you guys think? Or having anything to add feel free to.

Yes, Fire up is a late perk game, it doesn't help with that 4% (level 3 i think) and what you're saying with the increase movement speed after hooking sounds dope with killers without mobility

If I had full control of the game this is what it would look like:

Fire Up - The increased pressure of losing your preys fills you with anger and gives you unsuspected motivation. Each time the Survivors complete repairs on a Generator, Fire Up grows in power.

    • For each Generator completed, gain a nonstackable 4/4.5/5 % buff to Picking-Up, Dropping, Pallet Breaking, Generator Damaging and Vaulting speeds for the remainder of the Trial.
    • When four Generators are complete, gain a nonstackable 2% bonus to movement speed.

I pitched that earlier, but a flat 5-6% action speed and 1% movement speed per gen. On freddy that would cover the loss of teleporting when gens are done whild quickly punishing genrush. If there was risk to just mindlessly doing all gens as fast as possible it'd open up some strategy on survivor side. That's why NOED should never be messed with, by genrushing you don't look for totems and risk getting nailed

I agree, Fire Up has a lot of potential on killers like shape but currently it doesn't do enough and is mostly a meme perk.

1% increase per gen is too strong. Imagine having a 5% speed on huntress or deathslinger which will completely make them really strong and annoying to go against. Its basically a free stack of Play With Your Food without the loss of the token.

This was my intention of the perk buff

Fire Up(The Nightmare Perk)- The increased pressure of losing your prey fills you with anger and gives you unsuspected motivation. Each time the survivors complete repairs on a generator, Fire Up grows in power.

For each Generator completed gain a stackable 3/4/5% buff to: Picking-Up a survivor, Dropping a Survivor, Breaking a Dropped Pallet, Damaging a Generator, Vaulting, Breakable Walls and Increased speed.

No speed increase while in chase.

Better be careful not to do gens too fast then, the idea is to discourage genrushing and cover reduced mobility. Deathslinger should be 115 anyway. You'd have the 5% boost after you'd probably already lost so it won't be nearly as oppressive as you seem to think

If it was up to me I'd scrap the idea of it being tied to gens done and make it a completely different requirement. Random idea off the top of my head: make it into almost a counter part/less boring version of Dying Light.

Gain a token each time you hook the obsession. Each token grants a stacking 3/4/5% increase in speed for vaulting, breaking, picking up, dropping off, etc.

Then it would still ramp up in power as the game goes on and maybe feel like it actually gets scary once you realize whatever killer you're facing is jumping through a window ultra fast at you, or just shredding through pallets like a Hillbilly.

  • I have always thought Fire Up needed to be better, but its a dangerous perk to mess with.

Think about it, any Power it gives grows strongest when the game is at its most difficult if the Killer had controlled the areas the gens are done in.
