PSA- maining 12m aura add-on Wraith makes you useless, and stupid
I have a P3 wraith that I've played off and on over the last couple years. With P3 bloodwebs and BB&C, you can (barring an extremely unlucky run of bloodwebs) run the purple windstorm/purple 12 meter aura reading combo pretty much permanently.
I'm terrible overall, but with that combo, I can reasonably hold my own up to rank 10 (and still perform semi-respectably up until about rank 5). You can find survivors with no effort, and patrol structures and buildings without going in them or even having sound on. You don't need to mind-game jungle gyms, because eventually they lose your silhouette, and you can un-cloak in a gym spot where they can't immediately see your stain and go right to them. Immersion in maps like the Japanese ones are useless, since even a casual patrol reveals everyone hiding behind a rock or in the blackest shadows.
I never played any other killers, except maybe once or twice to try the new ones that looked interesting. Recently, I tried to do a sustained run of other (non-stealth) killers.
Kids, the wraith combo KILLS YOUR TRACKING AND MIND-GAMING SKILLS. With 32m terror radius killers, I had 0 or 1 kills every single game. A couple games, I only SAW a survivor once or twice before the gate opening phase- they'd hear my terror radius and just run away, and I'd never find them. One 360 was enough for me to lose a survivor completely.
Moral of the story? Don't do aura wraith. Or do nothing but him! I know which I'll choose.

Some people play this game to have fun and not to become better.
You can't tell those people (me included) to not use an add-on just because it gives you an advantage lol.

I recommend purple All Seeing combined with the silent bell. Much better then the Windstorm combo.

I've tried that, but (unless you are on a couple of the smaller maps) I feel like gens are popping as I slowly lumber across the map. Not uncloaking right in their face (and uncloaking from the "open" direct so they have to go sideways instead of vertically away from you) usually makes them hesitate for a split second and generally seems to work almost as well as the silent bell.

Going from a Stealthy killer like Wraith or GF to another killer especially with 32 meter terror can be tough.
Its not specifically the addon though, it’s just the type of killer really.

That's like telling survivors not to run certain perks because it gives them a leg up in the situation.

?? Sorry for not being clear enough in the first post, I AM an aura-reading wraith. I don't plan to stop either, I was just observing that my other killer skills have really suffered.

I actually play silent/distorted bell with iri windstorm plus slowdown/chase perks. Insane information paired with chase potential = gg.

Reading the actual post and not just the title would help.
Op says that they like to play aura reading wraith but this Addons makes it harder for them to play other killers.
To me it seems like a light-hearted post where someone wants to talk about his favorite addons and it's benefits and downsides.

Just practice with non-stealth killers.

Maybe you rely too much on the aura reading. Try using it to learn where people like to hide instead.
Or play Doctor and just use Static Blast.

My problem with Windstorm is the slower uncloak drawback, so I prefer the reappearance add on combos with Windstorm.
Wraith doesn’t have the best individual add ons but I really enjoy several of the combinations. My favorites are:
Windstorm/Reappear
Faster kick, Vault/Disappear
All Seeing/Silent Bell
These three combinations with their varying rarities are what got me through prestiging himand learning to love playing Wraith.
He also has the best cosmetics in the game!
