Haddonfield is survivor sided
Haddonfield is the most survivor sided map in the game. Next to badham and the game.
The map is too closed in so you can't play as ghostface or freddy. Theres no killer shack so trapper is impossible to play as. It's not dark enough so hag traps are implantable. This turns all killers into m1 killers

The fact that you consider the game to also be survivor sided makes me want to laugh out loud.

A lot of people agree that haddonfield is very survivor sided but how is badham one of the most survivor sided maps?
0 -
I agree about Haddonfield.
Badham depends on the killer. As for the game, it's definitely a map I'd rather get as killer, not survivor.
3 -
Haddonfield is very survivor sided and for badham it depends on the version. But The Game is not survivor sided, in my opinion it is killer sided.
4 -
You like laughing at the truth bud?

i just made a post complaining about the same thing, i love this map but on killer it's pure trash, a lot of the maps are way too big, with the mid chapter i hope things help
1 -
If you could kindly explain why "The Game" is survivor sided that would be fantastic. bud :)
2 -
It has too many pallets. It's hard 4 me to get past rank 15 cuz I keep getting that map and it has too mant windows
0 -
Every Pallet outside of a Building is unsafe tho. So while the Pallets in the Building are strong, the ones outside are 100% playable by the Killer.
@Topic:
I would say Ormond is worse. Beside strong Structures and huge size, Ormond is also bugged when it comes to Scratchmarks.
0 -
Then that's an issue you'll need to get better at.
Nearly all the pallets are mindgameable with only 3 that are truly must break immediately. One of which can be made extremely unsafe when survivors do the generator next to it. Window hits are easy to get when you zone survivors and cut them off which the map allows quite easily, more so as survivors complete certain generators that open paths.
I'd love to have a sit-down analysis of the map and lay out why its not survivor sided at all but comparing it to Haddonfield is just incorrect and misleading.

The game is definitly one of the most killer sided maps. It is really small and has 2 floors with a lot of dropping possibillitys which makes patroling gens extremly easy compared to other maps. On top of that, survivors have a hard time guessing where the killer is, since of LOS block, 2 floors and constant terror radius that is not always an indicator. Also finding totems on this map is for some reason harder then on most others. As a killer it is also easy to sneak up on survivors when you play a stealth killer like Myers or Ghostface.

You are thinking back to how the game used to be. It used to be killer sided for sure, but after whiny survivors complained, the devs added a boatload of pallets. While i think a killer like Nurse still does well, most m1 killers have too many safe pallets to deal with.

guy you prob have the least experience here shush

Ok, let's just say I have very, very ######### games on this map as a killer.
Usually people camp in corners, wait for me to leave and then do gens (a tactic I've also seen my team doing and have joined in on).
Yes its not great for looping, but if you know where to hide then it's possible.
There are also many pallets that you cant mind game. Two on the bottom floor and 2-3 on the top, with an extra few pallets that may spawn that are hard to mind game.
Maybe I've drank one to many tonight, but this is what I think of the map.

This whole post is a bait but I'm neutral on the haddonfield and game debate. If RNG allows it. Haddonfield can spawn too mant safe pallets. And that combined with the debris makes minigames alot harder
0 -
Well, they can't all be decidedly killer sided?
Also, The Game is definitely NOT survivor sided. There are just a few killers who really struggle with this, or any, indoor map.

Pallet above the basement next to the truck is also impossible to mindgame
1 -
You discovered America. Gongrats.

The Saw map never received any update, if it has then I haven't noticed since October. By my estimation the only pallets that are truly safe are the two outside basement and one that may spawn under the stairs which is a one way. As for too many pallets, I always have fun mindgaming those. However, the claim that "The Game" map is survivor sided like the Original Poster claims is just pure bait or driven by a bad experience on there.
The fact that you didn't decide to respond to my post about why I don't think the Saw map "The Game" is survivor sided says a lot about how a majority of the people on these forums will just attempt to bait and troll. Or shitpost which is what this is.
If you want to make it about experience then fine. Perhaps you could actually post something worthwhile about why in your experience you think my points are wrong. But if not then its typical of you I guess.
It's very easy to locate people, and if a gen has progress but no scratch marks and you are 99% sure someone is nearby chances are they are behind the wall. I find it easier than some other maps when I can tell survivors were just working on the gen.
As for pallets, the only three that I always want out of the way are the two outside basement (unless the bathroom gen is done) and one under the stairs that have a platform and go up to another safe pallet which I normally force them to waste.
This surely won't help but what survivor ranks do you face most commonly?
I'm not saying Haddonfield isn't survivor sided, but "the game" (SAW MAP) is anything but.

Usually play against/with rank 1- 4 survivors, occasionally the purple, but people use spine chill so much now, so as soon as it lights up they're gone.
0 -
What helps me a ton is coming from a different direction than they anticipate. I usually can't guess if they have spine chill but sometimes its funny to not look at them until really close. Had a person tell me they got scared out of their mind when I did that one game.

You cast off the points we say we find by playing the game so what do you expect? It has nothing to do with being good in most sense. Have you listened to the devs on why they are doing the upcoming changes? Survivors do gens still way to quick there's no physical time to even walk to the first gen because some maps are so big + Speed. There's already changes with this map but i feel it needs a bit more. And nobody is talking about the SAW map, this is about Haddonfield.
1 -
I'll try doing that in future, thanks for the tip.
0 -
Can you rephrase the first two sentences since I'm not sure what you are trying to say.
To address your second point. Yes I have listened to the changes, I also have participated in the PTB and seen the map's both in actual games on there and KYF lobbies.
With the gen speed changes, in games I have played both survivor and killer, the efficiency change has helped a lot. It won't stop survivors from pressuring multiple gens which is a given but this combined with the map changes has a very nice feeling to it.
Finally, the original poster specifically said
"Haddonfield is the most survivor sided map in the game. Next to badham and the game."
I found it funny that he was including "The Game" in that statement since it certainly doesn't belong with Haddonfield. So I made a comment about it specifically. You must have not read it completely because no one else seems to have this issue with what I mentioned like you have to make a post that was flat out incorrect.

No because while those are on the table, Haddonfield is the biggest problem. There's no instance in the game or badham that overshadows Haddonfield's bs. There was only small tweaks that they did that would make it way better, like you said it feels nice. I personally don't enjoy playing the PTB version of dbd so thanks for the tip

i wouldnt necessarily call The Game killer or survivor sided, though i can understand where people that claim eigther way are comming from.
some killers can easily use that map to their advantage and win without much of an effort (e.g. Doc or Wraith), others however get basically hardcountered by it (e.g. Trapper or Billy).
my personal main problem with it is, that it is basically made out of safe pallets. it has the most 100% safe pallets in the whole game, its actually ridiculous - especially when the survivor knows what to do / you arent the best killer. examples for such pallets would be the room above the basement, the hallway towards the basement, the staircase pallets or the drop down pallets (there are more but i think you get the point).
i think pallet spawn, the killer choice and the survivors skill are the factors that can make the map seem like it favors a certain side more than the other.

I actually play trapper on that map. There various areas you can put traps.

Are people forgetting that The Game had the 2nd highest Survivor death rate out of all the maps?
1 -
You are factually wrong.... the game was updated ages ago.
0 -
If it has then I haven’t noticed from October which is when I started playing. Get your facts straight before coming at me.
0 -
Im a killer main and the game is one of my favorite maps to play on. If you vs a really good team then maybe it could get annoying but I think it's a good killer map.
0 -
My facts are straight, yours are not. Don't post unless you know for sure. The game didn't start when you started playing.
2 -
Hawkins national laboratory is killer sided, your point?
(Also the Badham and The Game being survivor sided is so off...)
0 -
This is probably bait.
0 -
your reasoning is superb...
0 -
Wait.....badham is survivor sided? Never had issues with most killers other than clown
0 -
Believe it or not, once you learn the meat plant, it can be a good map for survivor. Lots of walls for line of sight break and mind games and plenty of windows for loops. Only downside to the map might be totems and even those can be somewhat memorized

BREAKING NEWS: Water is wet, the sky is blue, the sun rises in the morning and sets at night.

Killers whining they don’t win 99% of their games again huh
0 -
You have to do far more than just say someone’s wrong, add a counter argument at the very least, just saying someone’s wrong proves nothing, you just look like an idiot.
0 -
I would strongly and vehemently disagree with you, the pallets in that map do literally nothing, they don’t offer any seriously good hiding spots, and because it’s got two levels there’s no way to know if the killer is on top or bottom level, so that’s a serious mind game itself. And the pallet placement is next to crap, the only one that’s any decent is the one by the exit, and after that you’re screwed... honestly do you guys even play survivor, how anyone thinks anything about this game is remotely survivor sided is a joke, the hitbox which is specifically designed to not be accurate, is absolute horseshit. And now, our “top safe” window vaults are gone, but killers will continue to keep their chase increase speed... DH IS EASILY SUPER COUNTERABLE. And DS, just mori them. The DEVS do not add in-game chat because they don’t want every single game to be SWF, which if you’re a killer isn’t hard if you can outsmart them..... I honestly love this game, but survivors are getting the shaft and it doesn’t even seem like people care...
0 -
It depends on what killer it is for it to be killer or survivor sided, I personally love the map as survivor so many good pallets, windows and the exit gates don’t spawn together. The problem is the size of the map and if you don’t know where to find other pallets.

Saying trapper is useless on that map made me laugh
bro it's probably one of his best
1 -
uhm..
bait?
0 -
its true though, play killer and see for yourself
0 -
You do realize that 'The Game' has the most kill rate %'s according to BHVR statistics? Also, Haddonfield is very killer dependent. It may not be great for someone playing Bubba but it is excellent for Trapper. Just put all the traps at the top of the stairs and problem solved. I've never had much of an issue with Preschool unless I'm getting gen rushed but that can be with any map.
0 -
Haddonfield yes
The Game, only if survivors know how to use the pallets, a few are 110% omega safe
0 -
You really believe the game is survivor sided? It's a great map for killers.
0 -
I made a few comments on why I do, if possible do read them.
0 -
From what I remember, pallets were reduced but made more visible, doesn't seem very survivor sided to me.
