Why not just keep leveling up to 1000? What does devotion change?

    Devotion shows how 'devoted' you are to the game :D

    Srsly though, its like a prestige number. Nothing other than showing how much time you've put into the game.

    It does nothing as of now, but the devs have showed interest in Devotion rewards, I wouldn't count on it coming anytime soon though (By "not anytime soon" I mean 2021 at the earliest.)

    The reason why it doesn't keep levelling you up infinitely is because the Iridescent Shard value you get from a level, and the xp requirement for a levelup, varies depending on the level number. Devotion is just how BHVR choose to reset that clock back to zero.
