Moris & Keys - Suggestions
For starters, I main survivor, so I am gonna try my best not to be biased in discussing this.
Both stories happened in Red ranks on Xbox so some may feel differently than me.
So, let's talk about keys. I did a game with 4 man SWF. Sounds normal right, one other person and I had died, and that other person informed the two in game where hatch was. The Huntress was chasing them and they made a bee line for the hatch, the one with the key in front. It opens and both have escaped. That sound fair to you? It sure doesn't to me. Yes, keys are supposed to be guaranteed escapes, but they tend to make the game unfun just like moris.
How to fix keys:
•Make a 10 second animation of they survivor opening hatch.
•Like cleansing a totem, or opening a chest, make a sound que so the killer has some sort of idea what's happening.
•Dull keys only allow one survivor to escape unless an add-on is brought allowing them to bring one more (doesn't stack)
Now Moris, they basically cut the game in half. Here is the story for this one, 2 man SWF put with two randoms. Spirit has an ebony. I get hooked for the first time after saving both randoms from getting moried while my friend does gens. Kate (one of the randoms) gets me off hook though killer is standing right there on her way back to the hook. Killer downs me and moris me instantly. No BT or anything. Just a down right off the back.
How to fix Moris:
•Make it to where killed has to wait til survivor is dead on hook. (To replace sacrifice hook)
•The killed has to wait 60 seconds before they can Mori the survivor that got off hook so they can't do insta-knock. This allows the killer to slug said survivor instead and can either camp that slugged survivor, or let them go and go look for other people on gens.
I'd like some feedback if this seems fair or not.

Maybe add a progress bar to opening the hatch and decrease the time it stays open, but dont make the progress bar so long. As for the moris there's no way for them to nerf them without making it like you suggested. Idk i play both sides and i rarely have key escapes or moris constantly. Hopefully bhvr doesn't make either useless

I play both and honestly hardly ever see keys or Moris used. If I do their kinda awesome. It’s funny you mention two people escaped in line because I just had a game the other day where I was huntress and two people escaped right in front of me. Before that I can’t remember the last time I saw a Mori or Key. I think their fine how they are.

Every key should only allow 1 person
What's the point of bringing a mori if it can only kill already dead people plus the cool down makes it more useless
how about this
The killer is free to mori downed survivors after every survivor has been hooked once
This rewards killers for not tunneling and switching targets. It also gives killers the choice of hooking survivors a second time for more points or just killer them

Mori's have alrdy been nerf'd, i dont believe keys have ever been touched. with games lasting 4mins cuz of ruin nerf they dont need to be touched anymore.

The offerings "Ivory Memento Mori" and "Ebony Memento Mori" now require a Survivor to have been hooked at least once before they can be killed.
i think 2017, but could have been late 2016. before the killer could down and mori a survivor without having to hook

aight, lemme go through your ideas one by one:
Keys:
1) i dont think a 10 second animation is needed, though i do think a shorter animation (5 seconds or something like that) that is interruptable should be present, so survivors cant just randomly jump into the hatch right in your face.
2) i dont really like the idea of the notification. if you are around, you can already interrupt the amimation / immediately close it afterwards, but giving away the hatch location to the killer without them being anywhere near is too much imo.
3) fully agree. Dull Keys in their current state are WAY too powerful for a mere very rare item.
Moris:
1) too much. that would render moris basically useless. they should have an impact on the game, not just be used for a cool animation - might aswell be basekit at that point. i think it would be a lot better if moris were to activate after you hooked everyone once to prevent early game tunnel scenarios, delay their general usage and allow the survivors to play around it more.
2) combined with your first idea thats really just overkill at that point. instead of having another activation condition i would really prefer my idea of everyone being hooked once. it would be a LOT simpler and not render the offering useless.

Killer main here
Keys:
Don't allow more than one survivor to escape through the hatch with a key.
Add an animation, i'd say 10 seconds it's a lot, make it 5
Or don't do any of the above and make the game so it gives you a black pip if more than 2 survivors go through the hatch.
Moris:
Make the pink one so it's required at least one hook per each survivor.
Green one to work when you hooked the survivor you want to Mori twice
Yellow make it base kit as a gift from the entity and give it a different effect.
Or to me, just remove the pink one and I'm good, i like the animations but it's just making the gameplay not fun. At least for the keys the survivors must work their asses. Though I still find it very frustrating going against them and since I'm a red rank I've encountered them much more often.

I agree with that idea.It should be either after hooking every survivor once or on death hook.
But the first one seems better considering it gives survivors much more counter play to it.
