I'd rather totems take twice as long to clean...

Than have them reset when you get interupted.

Honestly I personally don't mind it, totems don't take long to cleanse unless they're running Thrill Of The Hunt. If they are just hanging around the totem that's a waste of time on the killer's part.

They're fine with the current time it takes to cleanse. Imagine if they were to take your suggestion and actually increased the base time... And now imagine adding Thrill of the Hunt into it. High mobility killers or any killer for that matter would be guaranteed to always defend their hexes. No thanks.

I'd still rather them not reset. It's so annoying to constantly start over. I'ave had to redo some 3 times cause the killer was close enough that I knew the breaking noise would get me killed. Just stop restarting progress on them..it makes no sense.

It has to reset, otherwise you just keep tapping it to reduce noise which removes the counter part on killer end. If you hear the killer either stick to it and break it or drop the progress and book it. Its your choice.

Would you, though? If you 99% all of them why not just 100% them all? You'd have to track up to 5 at the end game with your method..rather than just break them all right away?

The resetting is dumb..it should at least slowing reset..not instantly.

Don't forget that a change like this will also affect the perk Inner Strength. As it is it takes 14 seconds to cleanse a totem and 8 seconds for the perk to heal you which means a total of 22 seconds spent doing actions for healing. If you double the time it takes to cleanse that makes it 28 seconds to cleanse with 8 seconds for the perk so 36 seconds spent healing. Default heal speed is 16 seconds so with Self-care that would be 32 seconds. At that point no one would bother running Inner Strength anymore as it would take longer to heal than Self-care does while only having a limited number of uses that are shared by ALL players running it in the match. This also doesn't even take into consideration Thrill of the Hunt that already hinders Inner Strength as it is.

Let it only add 50% for inner strength than. So 14 secs if you have that perk. Honest 1 perk shouldnt stop it from resetting for everyone else.

Having a totem 90% done and another survivor with the static/iridescent queen effect coming over to you is rage inducing, otherwise idc really.

Because if you miss one. Then you have to search and find that one totem that no one saw all game.

If you leave easy to remember totems up. Then you have much better odds of knowing where noed is.

Same thing I do now really. I do totems in front of doors so a noed killer cant camp door and totem.

I leave easy to get to ones alone. Because if noed pops I have just increased the odds that I know exactly where it is.

I still dont see how this strategy is enough to not make a change. Unless youre a swf group most people wouldnt do this automatically. Also how would people know they were 99% once you start cleansing it would break..if someone left it at 99%. You wouldnt even know if it had been worked on til you go to work on it themselves. Also how many times have you seen someone 99% a gate only to watch someone else run up and finish it instantly? People dobt really work together with these strategies.

I think SWF would be the only ones who would really have to worry about these strategies.
