I bought leather face for his perks and tried playing a game with him.

It was by far the worst game of dbd I’ve ever played. Leather face is such a terrible, frustrating killer. Hes been in the game for nearly 2.5 years and he has been absolute garbage the whole time.

He needs a rework desperately. His kit is so badly designed that the only way to really play him is just to face camp with insidious

edit: yeah as people have pointed out, I probably got destroyed because it was my first game. But nevertheless, my point still stands that he is a terrible and boring killer that needs a big rework

You don't even have to play as a killer to unlock their teachables, though...

I admit that is true but when I play a new killer I am usually able to secure a hook or two but that time I literally didn’t get a hook until gen 1. You can’t deny he is one of the worst killers in the game right now

That may be true but people are still able to dominate with him in red ranks. It just takes a lot longer than a single game to learn him.

Gotta use pwyf/nemesis on him, otherwise he's an m1 killer most of the game. Edit: Or you can play insidious basement Bubba

At red ranks (maybe purple too), it's honestly normal to lose a gen by the time you get your first hook unless you are playing a top tier killer. Even if you spawn in, find someone in 20 seconds, and execute the chase almost perfectly you will lose a gen for it. So that's nothing bubba-specific.

He is weak, but no killer with an instant down is as bad as everyone says. Slap spirit fury + enduring on him and suddenly he is very threatening, especially with an instant saw. You also don't have to respect any pallets which will save you loads of time as people except you to and instead you get a free hit.

I always use corrupt since it's the best killer perk in the game, but the 4th perk is up for debate. I switch between monitor, bamboozle, and agitation depending on how I am feeling.

Ok you don’t understand I didn’t mean one gen popped, I meant there was only one gen left...

to be fair it was also lerys which is pretty bad for him because there are so many walls

He's kinda okay with Nemesis+PWYF. Otherwise he's really bad i agree.

Well then you took a really bad chase or had a bad build. Bubba will get murdered if you don't have any chase perks on him and the survivors are good. Spirit fury is almost the only way you are going to get consistent saws on good survivors. That or sawing people coming out of the basement (which is why agitation is nice, but I don't like agitation + iron grasp since that is dedicating too much for basement hooks that may not happen).

That also works but I find smart people will start throwing pallets super early to deny the nemesis proc. Spirit fury they won't know you have it until they each get hit by it unless it's SWF. Nemesis the entire team finds out the first time you proc it, and then of course they will be expecting the play with your food. I find that much better on Micheal alone because he benefits from easier stalking as well.

"I played my first game with LF he must be bad" ... A new day, a new stupid rant.

You need to play Leatherface with Add-Ons, which means, less Chargetime. Those are basically his best Add Ons, or most likely the only Add Ons which make sense on him. There is a huge difference between Base Leatherface and Leatherface with Tuning Guide/Primer Bulb.

You also can only rely on your Chainsaw when you are 100% sure that it will get a Hit. Billy is more forgiving on that, he can recover quite quickly, but when a Leatherface does not hit, thats already bad and when he bumps into something, the Survivor is gone.

He is not than bad to play with good Add Ons and Perks, but certainly one of the weakest Killers and in desperate need of a Rework to make him a) better and b) more unique.

So you’re saying he is a good killer that doesn’t need any changes? 🤔

Don't give up on him yet. He can be so much fun. Personally I enjoy playing LF more than most killers. I mean against a very good team you're ######### anyway. Compared to some other killers he may suck when we talk about map pressure and looping problems.. but he is cute, right? I really hope he gets the next re-work.

Thats a good counter to it, i agree. If survivors do that i just focus on getting rid of pallets.

I quite like leatherface, but each their own

Yep, there's no reason to play Leatherface unless you feel like handicapping yourself for a challenge. Even with the best perks & add-ons, he's still mediocre and relies on Survivor mistakes to do well. Not to mention his add-ons are a blatant copy-paste of Hillbilly's.

Because when you play a killer for the first time you have all the perks you need and know every ins and outs of him, right?

Haven't you played hillbilly for the first time and was totally humiliated? Does it make him trash? Or did you get an easy 4k against good survivors while playing him for the first time?

    Gimme a break, m8...

Bubba is tough but he is playable. Just really need to learn when to chainsaw, how close to objects you can get to, and no you do not need to camp the basement.

And really theres nothing more satisfying then downing multiple people at one time. Without camping!
