Leaving with a reverse bear trap on

I've started maining The Pig recently and I've discovered it to be much harder to kill survivors because when they leave the trap doesn't go off and i think that is stupid. Like if you leave you have a big bear trap on your face which doesn't make sense so it should kill you once you leave. And it doesn't really slow down the process of gens, the game just carries on as is. But during the end game sequence it gives more of a struggle and more on there plate to do. It would hold off the last gen and make the survivors plan more and think of there actions. What do you think?

It does kill you, if it's activated. Putting bear traps on after all gens are completed is only for the points. I believe they can also escape via Hatch without it killing them. Survivors cannot leave via the Exit Gate if their trap is activated.

The best way to beat Pig is to just do gens, and when your bear trap activates, go get it off, then go back to doing gens. Waiting to finish gens until someone has their trap off is how Pig wins.

It doesnt activate unless the timer runs out now. Neither does it activate when you exit the trial its pretty stupid for me being a pig player and it only being a bit annoying pre game but not being a problem after 2 gens

Only generators being completed activates the traps, so if you place a trap on a survivors head AFTER the last generator has been completed your traps will not "turn on" and are useless. This was added into the game prevent Pigs from exploiting the Endgame collapses timer.

I honestly think it should be reverted to activating the traps during the endgame automatically or if that's to strong, when the gates are opened. It brings back her endgame a bit, while also pressuring survivors to open the door quickly or leaving it closed so someone with a trap has time to search boxes. I also think it should kill when using the hatch personally.

Traps do not trigger if the survivor uses the hatch. Traps will kill someone walking out of the exit gate. Provided it is armed. A trap is armed when a gen is completed. So if all gens are completed than any traps thereafter will not be armed. Best to put on your traps as soon as possible to try to slow down the game. Save one for when there's 1 gen left. You will very rarely get a kill with a rbt but it's main purpose is to slow down the game. If they are busy disarming the trap they aren't fixing gens.

They shadow nerfed pig when they introduced the end game collapse. It was to make it so her end game wasn't too powerful. If they didn't change her traps she could down someone, put a trap on their head and patrol the puzzle boxes until the timer was up. It would have been nice if she got something to compensate.

Or the survivors are tupid and continue on gens only to die after they fail the first box (or I bodyblock it... cause I seen you finish a Gen with an active trap on)

it actually kills you if you try to leave through the exit gates with it activated....

But that is the key, it has to be activated, the devs did nerf the pig a bit on that front, basically there is no point in saving traps, just use them as soon as you can.

Survivors will have to adress an active trap on their head so you can use that time to find others and down and hook them, its a slow down mechanic.

Though I have been saying for a while now, I would love a buff that makes trap timers get reduced every time an additional gen is done while someone has an active trap on their head.

Meaning survivors should at best 99% gens if someone is walkling around with an active trap on their head.

IMO Pig should have special rules when it comes to EGC.

    1) RBT applied after the exit gates are powered will be active (just like before EGC).

    2) The EGC timer stops if there is an RBT in play.

    3) The EGC timer resets if the Pig places an RBT on a survivor after the gate is open.

Basically if you use RBT during EGC the game treats it as if there is no EGC, making it just like it would be before. Once the RBT is out of play (survivor removes it or dies) then EGC timer starts like normal. The EGC timer reset is to prevent her from getting free kills if she waits until there is like 20 seconds left to put an RBT on a survivor.

I think this would be totally reasonable. End game pig was a lot of fun and it's removal is basically why I don't play Pig anymore.

I have to think a little bit more about the ramifications of these, but they sound like nice suggestions on the surface. Maybe make a thread for discussions.

What ramifications? It is basically as if EGC doesn't exist, as it did before. EGC only becomes a factor when no survivors have an RBT on them.
