Deathslinger needs optimization

Apologize me for brefly interupting all your killer nerf discussions, just to say:

latency and lag issues kill Deathslinger becouse of the small hitbox on his speargun, you have the sensation to aim correctly but then it pass through the survivor like if you shooted a ghost.

Possible solutions:

  1. Give him 116 movement speed to compensate;
  2. Slightly increase hitbox of the bullet.

Conclusion: not everyone is supposed to live right next Behaviour's building complex to get a solid 50 ms. So the best solution would be... Buff him.

The size of the projectile should be larger indeed. Unlike with hatchets, it feels like they are trying to go for skin tight hitboxes for the speargun which doesn’t work in a game like this. At least the hit box should be as large as the fattest survivor, but it feels like I’m shooting right through even Claudettes with no effect.

I have no problem with him, mostly his add ons and perks that are in need of buffs. Hit box fine, you can do some tricky shots because its small, maybe a range increase from 18 to 22-24 Meters would be a better buff idea to compensate the 110 movespeed.

Both the latency and FPS play a huge role in something like the deathslinger. Why they chose to release such a killer before optimizing the game as best as they could is beyond me.

The FPS aspect is perfectly displayed and explained here:

I suggest that people watch it, and you will know why you miss shots that should hit. It is not just latency. We need to convince them to skip a patch, and work on the optimization and stop forcing things like v-sync and limited fps down our throats.

Well i guess its only weak pc problems mostly, yeah its sucks game is not that well optimized so not everyone can enjoy it as it was meant to be but lets hope they gonna start fixing it soon.

I beleve this game is FPS locked so hardware doesn’t matter much. And I’m getting this issue on a high end PC but only occasinoally. Not to mention all the big streamers encounter it also. If you trully never seen this before, than you’re the only player in the word that he works as intended for.

i dont think buffing him to make up for bad latency is a good idea.

he is already quite a strong killer, buffing him would probaply end up making him too good.

also, since the problem is only present for a certain percentage of the playerbase, buffing him for all would end up making him too good for those who dont suffer the problems you have.

i would certainly not mind a hitbox that allows you to hit survivors in all animations though - ive had it before that in certain animations the harpoon shoots straight through their bodies (e.g. fastvaults. if you hit like their head during a fastvault, it doesnt count as a hit)

I feel that Deathslinger need 2 things to be changed:

    1) Aim sensitivity. While you aim, it's really hard to move your mouse, while survs just dance around you.

    2) Change his terror radius music, so he don't seem like appearing from nowhere. Especially when everyone tends to compare him to Huntress, who has 40m humming.
