The Amanda's Letter add-on for The Pig has been Kill Switched due to an issue with incorrect RBT count.

I don't understand Sprint Burst
Sprint Burst pretty much just encourages being glued to generators because running around the map for totems and saves is pretty discouraged by the perk's mechanics. Staying stationary is just a super hard playstyle for me to get behind.
It just feels like you're missing out on a lot. Maybe with Vigil and Fixated I could see a build where you can run Sprint Burst optimally and move around a lot, but otherwise the playstyle just seems restricting

Run when your exhaustion is just about to come back and then you have Sprint Burst on demand.

Sprin Burs is fer yeetin

Exhaustion nerf actually buffed sprint burst .

It's just the best exhaustion perk there is, assuming you play around it. Dead hard is probably second, but is prone to failure and also doesn't help at all vs. one shot killers. Balanced landing has been gutted. Lithe is pretty good, but sometimes you won't have a vault nearby and it can be wasted at jungle gyms where you need to stand at a corner to determine your next move. Head on is for memes, and I have not gotten any comparable value out of it except by using it to escape the basement.
Being glued to gens is pretty optimal for a survivor, and it's the only perk that will let you safely do dead zone generators. Fixated + sprint burst feels great to use, and is pretty stealthy to boot. It also extends your pallet / flashlight / hook save potential by a ton since you can be positioned much further away instead of needing to be in a spot the killer might check to pull them off.

Sprint burst forces you to walk around the majority of the time, which immediately limits it's usefulness. Sure, you can 99 it, but the instance you do anything but run or vault and it's gone, which completely eliminates the point of 99ing it. It is one of the best perks in the game, but it only shines in swf. If you're looking for the strongest exhaustion perk, use DH. Way more versatile, doesn't limit your movement, and is ACTUALLY on command.

So would making SP an activatable do anything for QOL?

That would be so unbelievably broken you have no idea

Sprint Burst is ideal for an early and quick get-away before you can be hit or ambushed and get some extra distance. In a grouped-up scenario, it can convince the killer to go after another survivor, since they're closer. I really like it on my stealth build to get away from the killer quickly to find another hiding spot.
And you know killers complain about DH and it's SMALL lunge? Or Adrenaline when they're chasing someone?
Now imagine that all game.

So 99ing SB isn't the same?
But when they do use it then you can make a choice to continue the chase or leave
SB is just another one of those perks that rides the razors edge on balanced or OP/UP

Yep, it is now like a better dead hard

It's simultaneously OP and UP? I'm pretty sure most know it's balanced.
0 -
Well, yeah, but that's also harder to do.

I think that's the mistake most people make: Saving it. That's not to say you shouldn't walk more, but it's handy for also getting to survivors on hook, getting away from the area you just unhooked (since they'll know you're there now, good for fighting campers if you bring Borrowed Time too), moving from a completed generator, moving through open empty areas where nothing will obstruct the killer's line of sight, seeing a glowy totem & panicking to get to it and get it done lol, etc. I disliked it at first until I stopped saving it for just when the killer is already there. Fixated or Urban Evasion is nice to go with it, but I wouldn't say necessary.

Nope, I'm assuming you joined after the nerf, since it seems like you never saw Sprint burst back then (aside from videos probably)... It was BROKEN! Good survivors would have a super low chance of being caught, it was basically the best perk in the game.
EDIT: Aside from DS.

Lithe is probably better than Dead hard to be honest, it's like an activatable Sprint burst that lets you save a few pallets (if you utilise the distance) which is really effective at jungle gyms since you keep the pallets, and you can also escape dead zones if all you got is a Z wall. It also allows you to run around generally. And if you're on a map with less vaults, that's fine, just drop a pallet and if the killer tries to mindgame you on the pallet and you find an opportunity to vault, you can use it to get away from the pallet.
Dead hard is good, yes, but I think Lithe buys more time when used correctly, and definitely saves more pallets. It keeps you out of the situation where you need dead hard in the first place, which is why I think it's the best exhaustion perk after Balanced Landing's nerf.
My opinion though, you don't have to agree.

You can't save lithe, it gets burned the first time you vault and good looping requires vaults. It can be the best mindgaming perk, because the killer can stay back and try to play a loop you aren't at. And I definitely think that the exhaustion argument is pretty circular: some people like SB because it's amazing once or twice a match, some people use DH because it consistantly corrects mistakes, Lithe is better because it's essentially an on-command SB if you are at a weak loop. I just think consistency is best in a game as inconsistent as DBD, I guess.

No. It was random. You cant predict when killer is going to down you. SB on demand is better since you can use it whenever you want.

Exhaustion nerf actually buffed sprint burst .

No, that's not possible. It was never buffed, it got a fat nerf, hence why Dead Hard is so meta now. SB being random made it really strong, as killers would have almost caught up to you, and BOOM out of nowhere, you get a Sprint Burst, they lose bloodlust 3, and you make it to another pallet to loop them for another minute.
SB on demand is much weaker than SB back then, as SB back then was very strong in the hands of a skilled survivor.

Exactly this.
The original SB had a 30s cooldown ans recovered while running so looping around one object it could be ready to use again. There is no way it is stronger than it was as a 3s sprint on demand once while in a chase doesn't beat being able to use over and over at every good loopable spot.
That not even mentioning how you could use SB and BL independently so you had two 3s sprints on a short cooldown along with no stagger all game.

Omg that combo was godlike lol, I remember everyone abusing it.

You shouldn't save your spring burst all the time. Use it to get faster to the next gen, hook safe etc. outside of chases as well to make the most out of it.
I didn't start before Sept'17, but I can remember that BL stagger was on a cooldown as well. They only changed it with either 2.0 or shortly after it and gave BL infinite stagger in general. Before that it was an exhaustion perk with an additional effect that was on some invisible 40s cooldown. Can remember testing that out in KYF

This. If you stop saving Sprint Burst, the perk becomes much more useful for the simple fact that it allow you to travel the map more quickly. Plus you can manage the exhaustion and still have it ready if the killer finds you.
