For The People is nearly impossible to use in solo queue but a simple change would help it
So I try to mix up my builds as both survivor and killer, and I’ve been playing around with For The People lately. I play survivor solo 99% of the time and enjoy helping out weaker members of the team or those being focused by the killer, but this perk is so, so difficult to use without comms.
Would it be possible to add a small notification, like you get with perks like Streetwise or We’ll Make It, so that other survivors know you have the perk? So many times I’ve unhooked someone and the killer has returned to the hook, and if the survivor stood still for 1 second I could use the perk and let them avoid being downed again, but because they don’t know I have it they run away and get chased down. Or I pick up someone who’s slugged and they just stand there because they expected to be healed and not instantly picked up and probably have a hand full of peanuts or something.
I really want to give this perk a solid chance but it just seems like something that is borderline useless in solo queue because nobody knows you have it and nobody expects it. This small change would make it much more viable.

DbD mobile does show each survivor loadout to every survivor in a lobby. It could be added to our DbD too.
Highlighting team-oriented perks might actially be worth trying out.

Rwally? I’ve been asking that forever just because knowing if my teammates had DS, BT, and a few other perks could be huge.

That would also be an amazing change, but I’m not holding my breath on that one lol.

I was once told they wouldn’t do it because people would dodge lobbies if their team wasn’t running meta perks... ugh

on dbd mobile, the perks are shown right before the loading screen. So they'd have to either disable their internet / cut connection or close the game. I think this would be too much of a hassle for most survivors. I know some surv do this if they see a mori, but most of the time they just stick with it (at least from my experience in random games lately).

Ok cool, that really sounds useful

Yeah, I think I saw a similar response. But who cares? Now that lobbies aren’t disbanded due to dodging anymore, and considering survivor queue times are long BEFORE the lobby, I really don’t think it’s a problem if a minority of people dodge. Killers can dodge lobbies with items but they still show that because it’s useful information. The devs’ priorities are a bit messed up in cases like this IMO. The benefit of being able to see perks would be so great for solo players.
