What if NoED spawned the exit gates the furthest from each other?

Sorry "pressured" a better word for you? Their are plenty of people who end up grouping with people because of the huge advantages swf have. If the game wasn't designed for communication they sure send mixed signals coming out with SWF literally a few weeks after release. Not all killers just play sweaty because they want too its the state the game is in with gen speed and nothing motivating people into secondary objectives.
It's not as if a counter magically tells survivors where the totems are it doesn't mean they are going to even find it before dying. Not sure how doing 5 totems is relaxing considering the amount of time that gets added to the game searching for totems. Obviously you have a more cynical view on this so we'll have to agree to disagree.

Again, the only reason you want the counter isn't because of "balance" it is because you want the game to be easier. You start the match, watch that counter hit 5 and its smooth sailing to rushing the gens and not worrying about anything else. A counter isn't needed. Especially when you have two perks and an item that can help you find the totem. You and everyone else that is asking for a counter just doesn't want to give up a perk slot to counter the Killers perk slot. I don't think my view is cynical, but yes, we can agree to disagree.

That would actually be bad in any way.
Let's say you have NoeD equipped, you find the hatch while the last Survivor is remaining. Closing the hatch will trigger the End Game Collapse, therefore making it easier for the Survivor to get one Exit Gate because the Killer can't patrol them because they're further apart thanks to NoeD.
Whispers will probably help you there but why should anyone run one Perk to get info of where the last Survivor is opening an Exit Gate.

they'd have to actually put some work into getting rid of it.
why would they do that when they can also come here and ask the devs to nerf an already mediocre perk?

This would help the survivor as the killer (unless Billy) could never travel between the gates in time. I've opened a gate on the game when they were furthest apart without the help of Resilience.
