When will the grab animation cancellation be changed?

Be it lockers, gens, or anything else, if the survivor cancels their animation before the killer is halfway through their grab animation the animation is cancelled, and the killer doesn’t even get an M1. Often the killer is disorientated and the survivor gets the distance to make it to a loop. It can be the difference between winning and losing a game.
