Why would anyone care about reaching rank 1 anyway? You get nothing for it. Being so concerned about some steam achivement is just weird. I was rank 2 with both killer and survivor at the same time a lot but never hit rank 1 because I didn’t enjoy the game much at that point to keep going for it. And it was before the current rank system.

The issue is that killers have no option to give up the match, except AFK. Sometimes I don’t have the patience to face a bully squad, so I go AFK. I’m not going to participate and entertain those teams.

Not sure what you mean. You can't open the doors until they are powered. And, taking a single action is not participating in the game, and is still reportable. They don't actually have to be physically afk to be reported. The devs can just look at the score and see that the killer didn't participate.

Not supporting afks, but just rush the gens and walk out. I do think you should get kicked for being idle too long tho

Haven't run into the AFK Wraith any time of late. How big of an issue is this really? Are you seeing this once every 5 games? Are you seeing it once every 250 games? Like come on. They can't fix every problem. Just take the free objective and escape points and move on.

Yeah, you're right, I'm not entitled to have fun while playing a video game. That would be ridiculous. Video games are all about being sweaty and not having fun.

Wraith gets a lot of points. On occasion I play 'my gen' wraith and use the perfect invisibility when still to chill near a gen I call mine. Even with very few chases I build up 20k BP on average.

Maybe, but there will be areas that you have no points in, so the devs could see that you weren't actually participating. Non-participation is still a reportable offense.

Ironically that wraith style of play nets me a few downs and hooks a game, so score-wise it just looks like I'm a bad killer, especially if the survs keep coming back.
Imo intentional AFKs aren't bad, I've seen my fair share of them. Unintentional AFKs are more annoying due to your allies not helping with gens, instead swarming like flies around the afk. At least an intentional afk wraith forces survs to do gens and leave.

My point is, that if someone reports you for not participating, then the devs will look at it based on that report. They would assume the report was accurate, based on the lack of certain types of points.
Neither are good. No one queues up for a game of generator repair simulator. People wait in the queues, and don't get a game out of it, yet they still have to all of the mundane crap do get out.

Do your gens and totems, and you'll black pip.
Next match. Don't punish them for wanting to derank because the game gets very difficult at higher ranks.
