I never said it was quick or easy. Just that it is entirely possible to unlock all non licensed dlc by simply playing the game. Could it be easier? Sure. Doesnt mean its impossible

Maybe I'm lucky and just get bots🤷🏽♂️ but either way it's not wrong. Just because you can't do it doesn't mean it can't happen. There are gonna be bad games but it's not that bad knowing I do my best running only 1 or 2 perks😛

Techinically only Chili requires money, Plague and Clown are both available with shards, and their perks are relatively common in the shrine, especially compared to BBQ

BBQ's aura reading is incredible for keeping pressure, especially for Billy, Nurse, and Demogorgon(and Huntress if you have 5000IQ). Not having to wonder where you should go after hooking somebody is invaluable in the current genrush meta

It's obvious that you got the perks from the Shrine. Yeah the shrine gives you perks from characters that requires you to pay to get access, except the problem is that you sometimes have to wait months for a perk that you want.
I remember for PGTW, I missed it on the shrine last time as I was busy with college, and I had to wait months just to finally get it.
The fact that most of the good survivor perks like BT, Adrenaline, Sprint Burst, Dead Hard, Unbreakable, Prove Thyself, and Iron will are on free to play survivors.
While most meta killer perks require you to pay in order to get them, such as BBQ and Chili, Discordance, corrupt intervention, PGTW, Dying Light, STBFL, Spirit Fury, Hex: Devour Hope, and Thrilling Tremors.
Sure you can get those of the Shrine, but again as I sated above, it can take months for those perks to appear on the shrine.

Btw, Otz has a video for basic perks for every killer to get started with. Several basic perks also fit the killers I mentioned before, that perform well without any perks. Adding to Otz suggestions, I would even say Unrelenting is fine for Spirit, because you go for quite some "prediction hits" if you try to learn her properly. And Unrelenting is perfect for that.
Also, there are already two BP boosting perks with Distressing and Thrill of the Hunt to get a bit closer to BBQ buffs: And for slowdown, the best slowdown perks Pop, Corrupt and Ruin are all on killers that can be bought with shards. So no pay to win either. If you think this is way too much grind to get ALL of this, I just can repeat what I said before: Maybe first learn the basics as new killer before you start relying on meta builds.
