They also got this wrong "effect" shouldn't it be "affect"?

Tbagging is not "unfair" it is more an attempt to taunt or demoralize someone and then feel good about yourself. I laugh especially when they do it too long and get downed and get hooked... had someone not paying attention and i downed her (character, not player didn't know if player was a he or a she) at the exit, I got to pick them up and hook them.... they cried "you're a dick!!! you should have let me go, i was at the exit!" I told them "you should have left instead of trying to taunt me there, I got you and I don't have to do anything you expect I'm supposed to kill you in game." they cried more and I laughed.

the short of it is, it's hilarious when people think it does more to hurt people.. lol it is not unfun really... just stupid to do it for that. I mean there are ways to use it to be nice, to show someone something... instances of "good" tbagging, 1-3 dips in recognition of a good play or a thank you to another survivor, another possibility is to stand on the hatch and dip several times so the person on the hook can see where the hatch is. things like that....

I saw they also asked about camping and tunneling. Nothing will be done about the, so not sure why they added them. As a killer, tbaggin and body blocking me doesn't bother me at all.

There was a whole section with stuff that didn't have anything to do with fairness...

I don't know where this survey is, but I wish I could see it for myself. IDK why they'd ask something like this. I don't know how they could possibly punish it without being absurd about it.

There are always questions with bad wording. Like "what does negatively affect your experience: gate distance". Yeah, distance overall. Too close is unfair, spread far is nice. So what shall I choose? When I say unfair, do you push them even closer?

I think this should just be read as "bad gaming experience" and not as "I get less kills when survivors tbag"

This. It is so frequent with people. I have a rule of thumb on both sides. If you could have left and you died going back in for whatever reason (tbagging, hook save, etc.) then you can't get mad about dying because it is your own fault.

The obvious answer is no, it doesn't make the game unfair. But I feel like they purposefully did that instead of asking the question the correct way, 'Do you consider Tbagging to be toxic behavior?'. I don't know where they were trying to go with that question.

It obviously doesn't affect fairness so click the option that says it does not. Don't know why there has to be a forum post for this

nice sarcasm notation there.... text does not equate to understanding sarcasm when there isn't anything to say it's there. and before you say I'm always like this or read between the lines, there weren't lines to read between and i know you as much as i know the king cockroach so next time if you want to make something sarcastic include something like /sarcasm off or even :P or something to give an idea it's happening. plus I wasn't just responding to you, though yours was the most direct response. I addressed the whole thread.

Wow you must be fun at parties.

Did it not occur that, despite lack of sarcastic notation, the exclamation marks, sarcastic mocking comments of "killer mains rise up!" and the overall nature of the thread that it was, indeed, a joke?

There were lines to read between. You just missed them greatly.

If it was phrased like that and went through all the things people might consider toxic I'd be genuinely super interested in seeing the results. Opinions are so varied when it comes to that stuff so it'd be quite interesting to see answers with a bigger sample size than a forum thread asking "Is X toxic?"

Stuff like tbagging, letting people bleed out for the hell of it and so on seems pretty commonly considered toxic but I wonder how many people consider other stuff like bodyblocking, camping and more to be "inherently toxic"

here is the FULL quote you have that I commented on: "People complain about tbagging so the devs are testing peoples opinion on if they think tbagging is actually unfair." (along with the general response to the thread) where are your exclamation marks? where is youre "killer mains rise up!" and anything else you JUST said you said??? I'll tell you, it's in your mind, that's where. I told you there was nothing to make anyone think you were joking or anything.

as i said before: your sarcasm was not apparent, you did not communicate it in any way what so ever. If you think going back later and stating that you said it doesn't make it true. and in person I can tell sarcasm because of vocal inflections, eye rolls, and many other things. so get over yourself here and stop making things up. enjoy!

Ah my bad, I’m confusing this with a different thread where I said basically the same thing but eoth everything at the end. Sorry for my hostility (still though, pretty obvious I wasn’t being serious).

Still, though, I’d like to emphasise that I was joking, and even if I wasn’t- how many times a day do people complain about “tbagging toxic survivors”? Therefore if it’s such a widespread issue the devs should look into it, which they’re doing.

I accepted you thought you were joking but you didn't make it apparent here and i can understand that you might post different messages here or there. you are correct too many talk about tbagging as toxic... it's more silly and useless unless the killer lets them get under their skin.... i love that i got someone thinking he was close enough to be hit out but couldn't get out when i knocked him sideways instead of from behind and hooked them to death and they complained heheheh tough luck for them.

Teabagging is toxic, it would be great if they found some way to remove it

It depends on the context and can be used for a multitude of reasons. It isn't always toxic, and even if it is if you let people pressing crouch repeatedly get on your nerves idk what to tell you man, maybe you shouldn't be playing an online game. Any game with a crouch feature has tbagging be very prevalent and no other communities get so annoyed, so why in dbd is it such a big deal?
