What's your opinion about the nurse?

Heya, I know I've recently asked the same question about the spirit so why not make it a series? Nice change of pace isn't it?

So the nurse, I wanna try to learn her but at the start she is too depressing. You don't know the range, you need to predict ect. I might actually start learning her again, but who knows time will tell :/

As for playing against her, she is one of the most enjoyable killers to go against. The feeling of knowing that the nurse knows that you know where she will blink is godly.

Her aesthetic is perfect and the sounds are great, it does get you into the ghostly theme.

What about you? What is your opinion about the nurse? Let me know down below.

I rarely see nurses and cry out in joy whenever I get to go against one myself, usually saying "A console nurse let's go!"

From what I gather the nurse on PC is another animal entirely, and looks very hard to control on Mobile so far.

I played her for 15h on ps4 and slowly learn how to blink. It feels great to get a good blink and a hit. I never join a game with the intension to win. So it doesent feel too bad when all 4 survivors escape as long as i get some good hits. I hope the new sens for console will improve her gameplay.

I played as her twice and have basically vowed never again.

I understand she has a steep learning curve that once you master makes her one of the best killers in the game but I found her so frustrating and inconsistent that I just gave up on her.

I swear every other teleport I'd teleport inside the survivor I'm so close, swing, aaaaaaand nothing connects. Then to rub it in, she stumbles and sways like a drunk that ran into a street lamp that jumped out of nowhere. Now I didn't get a hit and I have to try to win the teleportation lottery all over again...

I've had fun playing as her in PC. Even in Rank 1. Sure I'm not winning a much as I usually do, but it feels satisfying to get a hit in exactly where the Survivor is at.

She's always been one of the hardest killers (if not THE hardest) to learn, and the changes they made to her last Fall only made her harder, but not any less lethal. You'll see dozens of complaints about her being useless now, but in all honesty, she's still the most rewarding killer to learn because of her ability to completely wreck loops, cut chases short, and her high mobility. Taking the time to deal with the frustration of her high skill ceiling, learning her mind games, building up your muscle memory, and getting used to her timing are all worth it in the end. In the hands of a novice she's weak, in the hands of a decent player she's decent, but in the hands of someone who has mastered her... she's nigh unstoppable.

That said, she's definitely a killer with a love/hate relationship in the community. Killer players either love her because they've gotten used to how she works and can dominate survivors, or they hate her because it takes a minimum of about 20 hours of play just to get decent with her, which is time most impatient players aren't willing to spend when there are other options. As for the survivors, the same Love/hate sentiment can also be said; they either love her because they only face novice nurses who are easy to beat, or they absolutely hate her, because the moment they face a decent-master nurse, they get mercilessly steamrolled.

As difficult as she is to learn on PC, she's even worse to learn on console due to controller sensitivity, however this is only temporary, and in the upcoming patch console players will soon be able to adjust that sensitivity which will allow them to be quicker with their aim and reaction speeds.

Overall she's a high risk, high reward killer with an equally high learning curve, but if you are up for the challenge... she's totally worth it and is still considered by many to be the only S tier killer in the game.

I tried her before the nerf and was bad at her. Had a daily for her yesterday to blink and hit 4 people. I got it done somehow in 1 match but only ended up with 1 hook. not a pleasant game looking at the floor and waiting for blinks all the time. I dread the next time I get a daily with her. On the other hand I love the way she looks. I also like to go against her. You can tell pretty quick if you're boned or gonna run circles around her. There seems to be no in between.

She's top tier. Strongest depends on survivors and maps. I'd rather have Billy on Coldwind, assuming equal skill. High level survivors who know her ins and outs can string you along for a while. The average survivor will go down insanely fast if you make no mistakes. You have to commit to taking Ls for weeks before you get the hang of her. She's easily the most frustrating killer on the roster. Put it this way: I lose 1 in 10 ( as in not a 4k) games with Nurse and play her maybe once a night now

Nurse is what happens when survivors get their way they dont want killers to be strong or fun to play

I've returned to playing nurse after a discussion in other thread and after multiple games my feelings about nurse are not good.

First of all she is a hard killer to master but she has only one thing to master, the timing of her blinks related to the distance you will travel. That's it.

She is a potential killing machine, you can teleport yourself to the survivor location that's almost 0 chance for the survivor.

All Ok until here. Now it's the "BUT" time:

There are certain structures you can't go through and some weird collision interactions with certain props that make her feel clunky when near certain elements of the map.

You are stunned half of the time, even when you are doing well. It's annoying. Her killing sprees feel less rewarding as other top killers like Billy or Huntress, with them you go on a downing chain nonstop making the survivors feel what fear and tension is. With her is like seeing an action movie with bad internet. Teleport, hit, stuuuuuuuunnned. That's how it feels. Slow and interrupted.

When you do well doesn't feel as a "ggwp" moment. You did your thing, it's almost uncounterable, the survivor goes down. Sometimes when you get bugged because some of the weird interactions she has with map props, survivors calculate right the teleport but then you hit them because "hehe that little hill can't be traversed even with a fully charged blink :)".

She is not even High Risk, High Reward, i would say is medium risk medium reward. You get a little stun if failing and a health state if you hit, nothing impressive. Look at huntress, if she misses her power she has to break chase entirely or give up her power until she does, but if she hits she has less cooldown and less speed reduction than a normal hit, so hit that power usually ends in a down. Risk your power to get a down against risk a stun to get a normal hit.

Her learning curve is hard and not as worth as others because playing her at any level is not that rewarding. As pointed out early, her learning curve is based on a time-space relation, that's the only important thing you have to know. There are other things you can learn but there are not that hard to even be considered a "multiple repetition needed" kind of improvement, like knowing that you can fake a far away blink looking at your feet. That's all you have to learn, so that learning process doesn't feel as rewarding because you achieve less things mastered in the same time of training compared with other killers. All killers has some looping techniques, she doesn't need those. Others have mindgames, she doesn't need those. She just teleport and hit that's all. Maybe locating survivors if it's the first killer you pick up. All the learning becomes annoying because all the bugs and weird things she does, also you get punish every time you use her power so you have to work against a punishment to learn her.

Just doing some math can give you the answer to why people don't play her. Let's say you are a nurse god and you end chases with 2 perfect 1shot blink. You have 3 seconds stun for each blink&hit. So 6 seconds per chase. You need if all goes normal 3 chases per survivor so 18 seconds per survivor. 4 survivors, 72 seconds. Sounds good for an excellent executed gameplay? Keep the math train going, iirc a match is about 5 minutes, lets say it's 6 because I'm not that sure. 72/360 = 0.2 That's 20% of the match stunned. 20% probably higher because if you are a god nurse you will end the match sooner compared to the mean time.

Now think about a killer that is learning nurse, imagine how many times he is going to look at the ground shaking the head, even if he just miss a blink per try it would mean that almost half of the match is stunned.

I don't think people could enjoy that kind of experience for extended periods of time. I'm sure playing other killer feels better and can be played during longer gameplay sessions.

still the most strongest killer, just alot harder now, feels rewarding when u get a 4k at rank 1

I think they over nerfed her, old busted range addons and multiple blinks addons definitely needed to go, but her basekit, wrong move.

I've had games, where you could simply run in a straight line and she could never catch you, that's just wrong, so yeah you need to fix this BHVR!

I think the Nurse is still technically the best killer by potential but not the best killer in general as no one really plays her anymore do the issue of no fun and too much work to learn.

On PS4, I love playing against a Nurse and while most are quite awful the good ones I've run into were great fun.

I wish I saw more of her. :/

Console Nurse player right here I have to say that there is a slight dip in frames just as the Nurse finishes her blink. It doesn't make her unplayable its just a small annoyance. Other than that I still feel like her blinking through objects is buggy but I like her.

Pretty much opposite of you. I have fun playing her, and I think she's one of the most boring ones to go against if they're really really good. At that point you can't even really get away, much less play.

she is still the best killer in the game when it comes to chasing. However, she is not fun to play. Especially since Dead Hard exists.

needs a rework, she has been nerfed a whole bunch cause a very very VERY small % of players are unstoppable so normal killers who dont play nurse or just overall average killers wont have a fun time with her ever and is just a killer in their list.

She was left in the trash with Legion.

Game breaking bugs that only got more numerous AFTER her REWORK

TERRIBLE addons (at least half) that was THE ENTIRE POINT OF THE ADDON PASS

Her gameplay is awful. I hate waiting to use my power, I hate walking the slowest in the game while survivors barely rub 2 brain cells together and they can get away from me now

    the list goes on

She needs help, and she needs it bad. As badly as someone like Legion? No, but pretty damn close.

I feel bad for the Nurse cause she’s to easy to juke and her blink recharge screws her over cause it gives survivors the chance to get away making the chase last longer.

She still has a lot of bugs so I barely touch her anymore. Besides the bugs, basekit hasn't changed much. Blink, hit, repeat. She has always been my favorite killer to go against but I'm a console pleb so that's understandable.

I played her a few times before the rework and a few times after. She was really not fun before, but now she is the physical embodiment of nails on a chalkboard. She is that unfun to play as. Couple that with red rank arrogance on the survivor side, and you get a game not even worth trying on.

Thank goodness I got her achievements before the rework. Those would be impossible for me now.

I am on Xbox by the way.

The rework/addon pass was a complete failure- 4 addons are worth using. She also now has to play pretty lame to win because her map pressure was crushed, which I’m pretty sure is counter to what the devs were trying to do.

Having said that, she is the best killer in the game (which is an indictment of how bad most m1 killers are.) I consistently 4k at rank 1 and I can REALLY feel the difference in power when I play other killers. She might be the only viable killer against expert survivors. Lately, there have been so many matches in which I thought “no killer except Nurse could have won this.”

Still the best killer in the game. She really suffers when going around the map though, especially without addons.

Love the concept and can see hiw she is one of the best killers in the game. However her massive difficulty curve does not pay off for what she is now especially with so many other good killers like freddy spirit and even huntress. For the difficulty to learn the nurse she should have a way higher pay off than she does right now.

I play her on Xbox. She’s bloody hard, but I can see how good her potential is. I think she’s too dependent on perks and items.

My case is pretty strange I started playing around 1.5 years ago. Got to rank 1 pretty fast with other killers and when rank reset happened I tried the Nurse couple of times got my booty smacked never came back to try her until now and apparently I'm a god with her now. My only explanation is game sense and map knowledge is helping me immensely once you have those two blinks are not gonna be a huge problem. Watching people with thousands of hours in the game playing Nurse helps as well. She is still the best killer in the game since non of them can bypass loops

I will give you my build as well if it helps you: Infectious Fright, Swadowborn, Nurse's Calling and PGTW.

You can switch out Shadowborn for BBQ if you have trouble finding people.

Addons: Fragile Wheeze and Ataxic Respiration(Dark Cincture).
