Why can't we make custom survivors?
It'd be so cool to make a character that looks like yourself. The lore could be something like "(your name here) was playing a video game in this alternate universe and it became real. Now (your name) is stuck."
Of course... if the customization options got too wild, I'm pretty sure people would start going The Sims on their character to make 4 man SWF Shrek or Jojo groups...
I still think it'd be cool. I'd pay for it.

This...actually sounds really good! I know I'd look very similar to Dweard but not bald. Perks would be the hardest thing, but maybe you'd have to take a personality test to get 3 of maybe 30 perks, which you could possibly buy each as a teachable for 500 iri shards.
If this happens I'll be over the moon.

lol If they did do this, I'd wager we'd see monster survivors walking around than "proper" ones.
It would be fun loading into a lobby where there are 5 hags on the map.

It would be cute to have a version of yourself running around but I feel like theres enough customizations included already in the game that you're able to replicate somewhat closely a vague idea of who you are. :D
Plus, the game isn't really focused too much on appearances and the graphics for survivors aren't the best either with how badly some of the faces (Quentin, Feng, Claud) are rendered, or some of the hairstyles with the textures, and you're never really able to see the front of your character either when in game sadly!
I do like the perk idea though! Wasn't there a thing going around a while back (and I mean a whiiiile back) that perks were going to be locked for survivors or something to make choosing a survivor to play more of an impactful choice rather than just a skin or was that something I imagined LOL.

I think that would be hard to fit stylewise. Good customizable character I know only from the Elder Scrolls series and that can already create strange stuff. Other than that, I know just about Nintendo Miis and that... well, you know :)

I've actually been thinking about this myself, years ago. It would be a very fun option to be able to play as yourself. Of course, if you'd use it to actually make yourself trolls will probably call you ugly to piss you off in pre and post game chat, but still, it would be neat. I fantasized about having my own character when DbD first came out because of how much I was in love with the game, so it would be a blast if devs released something like this
