A friendly Camping Solution
I've seen many ideas to prevent killers from camping and it is always like "If he camps he has to get punished". Like, I get the point that camping is not fun, but you shouldn't kill fire with fire. I think if we want to change things like these then we need to give killers an objective that doesn't punish them. Rewards are way more fun people.
So I had this idea:
"After beeing outside of 32 meters to the hooked person, gain a 25% Movement Speed Buff that tremendously reduces to 3%, for 5 seconds and gain +XXX Bloodpoints. Joining a chase will end the buff."
I mean you could change the curve to 3% to 25% depending on how far away you are, but I think a stronger start feels better.
This way survivors kinda get what they want and killers aren't getting punished. Movement Speed for defending a gen and Bloodpoints for a "Thanks for not camping" should be a good reward imo.
Any thoughts?

Maybe call such incentive or buff "The hunt continues"

A friendly answer about camping. There is already a solution.
1) Campers are already been punished and they depip instantly after the match. In fact campers (most of them are Bad Players with low amount of hours) :
- don't chase
- don't apply pressure to gen (gen are not defended)
- don't hit anybody instead they sit on desk watching the surv on hook
2) If there is a camper survs can do in the meantime 2 even 3 gen = ez life for survivors. And if another Surv loop correctly, the "Evil Camper" finish the match with 1 kill, sometimes even without kills.
3) Surv Team has all meta perks they need to address the camper and to defeat the Evil Camper (if you dont know how to do that it means you dont have many hours of gameplay, that's another story).
4) Sometimes you can have on red ranks a match like this one (https://youtu.be/BO-3W4hj4vc?t=25), a very very fast chase and an insta Gen. I had this too many times. It's not a problem for me, for many people, that's how game works. It's just to confirm that to camp is useless and if you are camping you can have in those matches 1 Kill max... if you are lucky....

1.) You're talking about newbies camping, the debate when it comes to camping is about killers who have thousands of hours and camp because it works.
2.) Not true at all in Solo Q without kindred. Potentially all 3 other survivors will go check on the hooked guy, and won't be doing gens.
3.) What are some of those meta perks that punish a camper? BT? At best you get a trade with BT. Thus rewarding the killer for camping, not punishing him.
4.) Again, not true at all. Proxy camping a hook in solo Q will absolutely destroy the survivors regardless of how fast they get their gens done. Otz proved this a few days ago when he was testing if NOED was OP or not. He would hang around the hooks and proxy camp. All but one of his matches ended in a 4k.
I wish the killer mains would stop with these bullshit excuses. Some of us play both sides, and know just how frustrating it is when going against a camper because there is literally nothing you can do about it. I have never, in my life, had the urge to camp as a killer because the gens are going too fast. This is not the fault of the survivors. It is either the fault of the map, or my fault because I couldn't pressure gens, or got myself into a long chase.
I do agree on one thing - camping is a viable strategy. It will get you easy kills. But that is until the devs realise that something needs to be done about it. Kindred should be base, end of story.

While I agree that camping isn't always just a evil thing, Its sometimes a strategic matter, I still think that allowing killers a tool to get faster back to business, wouldn't hurt anyone.
Yes, survivors have BT (counterable) and yes they can rush through gens (if the camped person doesn't kill themself). But the thing is, if you just want to be the evil camper, the trial is soon over and no one gains BP. It is not fun for anyone imo. Encouraging an anti-camper playstyle is way better.
At the end: Is a solution against camping actually needed? Arguable. I think It's not a hot matter. But having a good solution in case doesn't hurt anyone.

- Those are not "bullshit excuses" (i quote your statement) and if you feel hurt ehhmmm... remember it's a game.
- Sounds like i'm a "die hard camper".... but when i'm playing DBD as Killer i never camp: it's boring, it's useless and 90% times never work.
- Yes, if you are facing a camper in solo without Kindred, there are chances more than one surv go away from gen.
But i am not talking about newbies camping. I'm talking about camping in red ranks. It's useless 90% times and i think you agree that too because ... ? let's be honest. more than 90% in Red Ranks go in full lobby (or 3 at least). Me too, i don't hide it. When i have to play Surv in red ranks i go with my Friends in full lobby. I don't do it because i hate mates. It's just for your same reason. Sometimes you have a random with Kindred or Empathy and he understand what's happening but most of the times .. this simply does not happen. he doesnt have those perks and the help you can have in the match can be from zero to a lot of help, it depends....
The real problem, and let's speak about real problems, are "lag shots". Have you ever play as surv and have you seen "lag shots" from Killers ? You stun the Killer and after a micro-second you take the shot ? Or you jump from a Window and the killer gives you a shot from an incredible distance ? I think this is the real problem which needs to be fixed. Camping problem has already been solved (almost to 100%) going in full team (most % of people do that).

SWF are actually really rare. As far as I remember the stats, only 5% of people play in a SWF. So no, it is not more than 90% of red ranks. More than 90% of players are actually solo - that is a correct statement now. And without knowing that the killer is camping (no kindred) they are going to get rekt. Red ranks included. If I see that a killer is camping, I'm going to try my best to gen rush the hell out of him. That does not mean that my team will do the same. Some will feel bad about the person on the hook, and try their best to save them. It is how it is - solo Q gets heavily punished by campers for no reason at all.
That is the issue with the latency, and you will see hits like that until the devs do something about it (which they said they will, but knowing them it will probably take 2 years). However, this was not the point of the debate, so I'm not going to dwell on this topic for too long.

While it is true that Full teams are way more rare then most people think, you remember incorrectly. 5% is for full teams, but you get in most games some sort of SWF, most commonly 2 solo and a duo on average.

I knew it was 5% something. Thank you for refreshing my memory! But yeah, my statement still stands, considering that he is in a 3-man-swf, which is about 10% of all players (PC).

PS Interesting stats, we have every 2 matches 1 with some sort of SWF.
Here it is the explanation why they find most of the times my ruin, even in a good spawn, very quickly ^..^

"Because Solo-Q Survivors are dumb and would never find my totem. It has to be an SWF."
I have way too much hours in DbD and play mostly Solo Q, so either I am hacking or I am SWF with my multiple personalities, right?
Just a friendly reminder that the topic wasn't about swf.

"Fire with fire" yeah. This is already in place for such a long time. By game, regarding BP and emblem progression (unless overly altruistic survivors reward that playstyle) and regarding the hate chat after the game. Doesn't work so far.
Psychology normally says that negative amplifiers work way better than positive. Somehow this doesn't apply to camping. Internet people is some strange folks...
