Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Fun builds for Huntress

Huntress is one of my favorite killers, but I noticed I kinda have gotten pretty stagnant with what I run on her. Corrupt, Pop, BBQ, Nurse's. I run Iron Maiden instead of Nurse's a lot, but I'm one of the few. I'm wondering what are some fun alternate builds for me to play Huntress that don't use those perks, and can maybe let me have some fun with her Hatchets in a different way. Usually I bring no add-ons or extra hatchets, or Leather Loop (+1 hatchet) and Bandaged Haft (slight decrease in cooldown between throws). Trying to think what are some fun combos to run on her, between her add-ons and her perks.

Hoping to hear some fun ideas. I have all perks but Gearhead (have chosen to not pick up the teachable as of now) and Deadman's Switch 3 (Only have it lvl 2 as I haven't really leveled Huntress in a while), and plenty of Huntress add-ons.

Play with your food and Furtive chase work well together on her. 5% move speed can help end the loop around shack.

To add more speed, I like to mix up brutal strength, fired up, and bamboozle.

With your leather loop and handle already, you now have a build that makes her a little bit faster in every way. Gloves are also fun with iron maiden, if that still stacks

It says they don't stack, but it still feels slightly faster than normal. Before Iron Maiden it was def my go-to add-on though, and has helped me a lot by letting me reload faster to continue practicing my aim, and continuing the chase.

All the hex perks are fun

Devour Hope, Ruin, Retribution, Haunted Grounds

Surveillance would fit better, but those 4 hexes together create really funny situations where cleansing becomes very dangerous or they give up on bones altogether

True. I love the hex perks, they're all fun in their own ways.

Junk. The best huntress I have ever seen play is called CoconutRTS.

He usually runs, Bitter Murmurer, Blood Warden, BBQ, and Discordance.

Umbra is also a really good Huntress too

I would definitely suggest trying Shadowborn, it's an odd perk choice for most killers but I think the fov change feels great on her in particular.

I'm All Ears is another perk that I wouldn't suggest for most killers, but I think Huntress gets some benefits from the temporary wallhacks, especially with a few of the loops she struggles with. This one is a lot more situational and it's very hit or miss for sure (this perk is legitimately good on Nurse though.)

Brutal Strength is alright just because you can quickly ready up a hatchet throw after breaking a pallet, though she struggles a lot less with pallets compared to most other killers so it may feel like a waste of a perk slot depending on how you play.

Hex retribution could probably work on her actually. Survivors might panic-cleanse it because they might think it's devour or some other perk but then you get a lot of info once it pops. But imo I don't have fun with any build other than a standard one like you're running. I think corrupt, BBQ, whispers and [miscellaneous 4th perk here] is the only way to go. Or a totem build perhaps, idk you live your own life lol

I personally love using Save the Best for Last and Iron Maiden on her as base perks :-) Since you're able to hatchet the Obsession, it's a breeze keeping stacks on STBFL, and it's just generally fun to use! For the other two, I generally like to use Sloppy Butcher (with STBFL of course!) and Monitor and Abuse.

I tried the ranged down achievement with an aura builld. Bitter Murmur and the purple aura reading addon after hatchet hits helped on that one. If you have somne cornfield offerings or other relatively open maps, you can practice a bit ranged sniping with that
