Dedicated servers and the Ping Problem.

So, like a lot of us, I want to play the new update. Killer queues took a while, so I went to check out survivors. Fast queues, so when the first one pops up with high ping (180-200), I'm like "No big deal, probably put me in the American servers by mistake to fill up a game." So I try again, same result. And again.
Okay, maybe it's just that not enough people are playing survivor, time to see if killer is any better.
So there I am, waiting in a 7 minute queue, to see if I can find a match. Eventually I find one. The ping is between 180 and 200. Joy.
So I quit out of dbd and go do an internet check- https://www.speedtest.net/ for reference. I try connecting to London and to Germany, where I'm pretty sure both EU servers are. I try connecting to my own ISP's servers, and the Amazon servers, which I'm pretty sure host the dbd servers. All four times I've had over 50mbps download speed and at least 10-12mbps upload; this is practically a record for my internet, it's usually so bad google struggles to load.
So, is anyone else currently suffering from extremely high ping or is it just me? And if anyone has some advice on how to speed it up (apart from prioritising the Ethernet protocol since I've done that already and removing other people from my network since I can't) that'd be greatly appreciated. Right now, the only thing I can think of that I haven't tried is turning it off, then back on again, which I can't do because others are currently using it. I don't see how this could help though, since everything else is functioning perfectly.
TL;DR - Is anyone else having really high ping on these servers except Xbox players, since I know there are some pretty hefty issues over there?

I've noticed a few posts by people saying that they're experiencing similar issues. My best guess would be that this has something to do with testing for the new matchmaking system being underway, but obviously something has gone amiss, whatever it is. If this many people are having the same problem, it's almost certainly something on the server side, so unfortunately there's probably not a whole lot you can do about it on your end of things. The only consolation I can offer is that, given that the issue seems so significant and widespread, it's likely that the devs will make identifying and fixing the problem a high priority, so hopefully we'll be receiving more information about it soon.

I found ONE lobby with a ping of 50ms, the others were all 160ms and up. I live in Germany btw.

Well if you're living in the country with the server and you're getting 160ms then yeah, there's definitely something horribly wrong there. Danke.

This patch is extremely broken. I am experiencing the same thing right now along with other serious bugs as well.

Wonderful; it's great to know I'm not alone in this issue. Here's hoping the devs manage to fix this soon cause I really wanna see how they changed Ironworks from the PTB (and also Storehouse and Coal Tower got changed too so I want to see how that's been changed).

the ping is not the only thing broken. huntress and billy are still bugged like in the ptb. dont know if nurse is also still broken. but since billy and huntress arent fixed i guess shes also still bugged.
if u dont know what i mean (billy gets no stun from running into walls + broken saw animation. huntress screen starts shaking when putting away a hatchet and nurses teleports are not working correctly)

I didn't know that Huntress was bugged, that's a new one. Billy's also a bit bugged with his turning unfortunately, but apparently Nurse's issues got fixed before it went live. We can at least have hope- I'd love to playtest these. Thanks

The reason I would like to SEE to which location I'm connected to. I would instantly know, if i have a bad ping, because I'm connected to f.e. America.

when huntress winds up a hatchet she can either throw it or put it away. if she puts it away but moved the mouse the camera will flik back to the postion u had it in while winding up. makes her literaly unplayable.

ffs devs it's been since November 2018 since the release of that amazing new matchmaking, you have been testing it for over a year omg every "new improvement testing" just makes it worse

Always nice to see that a Killer is bugged which is needed to play for Archive Missions.
And yes, Billy is horrible, I had so much problems with his Chainsaw in that one game, it was so weird.
