Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

rude developer

So, i've just been reading through this forum and i am kind on sad to see the way this Dev interacts with the community seems at times rather rude and sarcastic. has anyone else had experience with this?

Peanits also isn't a dev to my knowledge, so. He may not know everything.

I mean it's not all the time. He is a helpful person it's just the one time a dev replied to my post I expected him to say something helpful or tell me it's being looked at. Tell it it doesn't happen every game. Instead it just came off as rude. Oh Git GuD you weren't being genrushed. I was just taken back.

He is in the sense that he's on the development team and is therefore privvy to most of what goes on behind the scenes. He doesn't do any of the design or programming work on the game itself, but it's part of his job as a CM to keep informed about everything else that's going on so he tends to be one of the best sources of general information.

Maybe to you but not to me. I just expected a different comment. 2 survivors hopping gen to gen is genrushing. ESPECIALLY if the person your chasing is just running to pallet to pallet. Add prove they self plus toolbox. Sure just leave the chase then it starts all over again.

Odd, because most posts I see about the Devs or the game, it's individuals bashing them constantly for things that may not even be in their department.

If you think someone who is disagreeing with you is a rude person, then you should change this opinion ASAP. If you dont want to hear any criticism or anything you should not say anything, because then nobody can critize you or your opinions. But once you start stating them, you should be open for people disagreeing with you and not take it personally.

No that's teamwork. Genrushing is making gen pop really REALLY fast.

The thing about this forum is from my short tenure here Iv noticed it has a reasonably high volume of young(age 25 or under) people who lack a certain amount of life experience, none of whom are likely to grow up to be rocket scientists. Many of whom also likely grew up with parents cut from the same cloth. Because of this they lack the critical thinking skills to properly asses some things accurately as well as the communication skills to relay them in any combination of ways.(accurately, politely, articulately, logically, intelligently, ect.) I'm ABSOLUTELY NOT taking shots at anyone, especially in particular. But I would like everyone think long and hard about some of the things you have read on this forum or any messages you may have received as a result of playing this game. With that in mind, regardless if the man was rude or not should we judge him? I vote "No" on that one.

they always say "it's too tricky" or "too hard". Instead of giving good reasons they just use this laughable excuse

    Can't say i have.

Rather, they're usually the sponges for people's complaints & hatred.

Only 2 devs come to mind, mods aren't that common to make sarcastic comments

But yea I think in their eyes they are trying to cheer up the community but in the other end it appears are rude and most of the time it looks like it is itentional

I mean sometimes some of the things they say can seem a bit rude but I would say the vast majority of the time they are polite or friendly and then even when they are rude, it's often deserved. I don't see it as a problem. In fact, I'm often impressed that they are able to be so polite when dealing with some of the people on this forum and social media.

BHVR community interaction is a little snarkier than the industry standard I'd say - but I don't necessarily think that's a bad thing. There have been a couple of times I thought the BHVR employee's humour was a little misplaced, but generally speaking I'll take honesty over droning, PR non-statements any day.

I have no idea what you're on about. Most of what the devs say on these forums comes off as just "matter of fact" to me.

Updates are monthly and public demands are minutes in between. If you want instant gratification on an issue, you won't get it.

    Nice statement @ Doddle28 quoted 100% +1

If the poster give up after 3 gen done, probably to play killer is not the best choice for him.

Several times my most funny sacrifices are after first 3 gen. Even 4k because they... leaved last gen close to each other (most likely to have put pressure did some results.. ^..^)

I don't think I've seen one single post where a Devloper has been rude to a member of the Community here, or a Moderator either.

Whilst you might not get your question answered or your complaint responded to in the manner that you would like - someone disagreeing with you is not rude, someone pointing out where you are wrong - is not rude. That's the posts that I see from the Developers on this forum. I've not seen anything posted by the developers as being rude in the slightest.

I'd say less rude, but more impolite. The mods and devs on the forums alike tend to be short and to the point, which can come across as rude I reckon. But sometimes, I understand what you mean. Instead of taking a step back to try and understand the issue, some mods or even devs shoot down any idea that strays from their own.
