How to put this in a friendly way...

The reason why that map has so few pallets is because all of those pallets really strong. 4 jungle gym pallets is insane. even if you only managed to vault the window once and drop the pallet. Most of jungle gym pallets when droped force a break action from the killer and this break action allows you to get a fixed distance away from the killer. The shack itself is another free jungle gym. Even though there's only 8 pallets on the map, each of these pallets provide near guaranteed stalling value against most killers. A map like Hawkins has over 20+ pallets, but it doesn't have jungle gyms and that map is still harder to win as survivor than hawkin. It just goes to show that jungle gym pallets are like worth 5 unsafe pallets worth stalling power. The strength of jungle gym doesn't come from pallet itself, but the window. pallets are just resources you to use to avoid getting hit when you make a bad read at a loop. This means that if the killer in question does not have an instant down, you can use your own health state as a pallet resource and still use jungle gym as if the pallet was there. The next upcoming patch includes the removal of many powerful windows, so survivors have one less strong resource to avoid taking hits and stalling the killer. I wonder how long will it take them to remove last 4 remaining god loops in windows that appear on Haddonfield,Mount Ormond,Mother Dwelling and Disturbed Ward. until then, I don't think bloodlust is going anywhere and I don't even know if these map changes move needle for killer really.

That's fair enough if the game isn't to your liking anymore. I wouldn't call the devs monkeys though, their just trying to balance a game that this community can never agree on what's right.

And guess what? Half the killer roster hard counters those pallets. Any of the rest can bring bamboozle or spirit fury and get free hits at them. You think shack pallet is going to save you vs a stridor spirit or snare spam freddy? That's a joke.

It still don't help them because doctor is too good.

There wasn't any pallet reduction to this map

Probably bait

Exactly my thoughts. We need more Interactions, not less. I feel like at this point, as a survivor you are expected to play against design choices instead of with them. You somehow have to be able to magically juke the hell out of the killer despite the very limited tools to do so. When they take the recources from survivors, you should just juke harder. Only that "jukes" were never really endorsed by the devs and have no mechanic to follow. It's very counter intuitive and not what the Game presents to you as a core Feature. It's literally a desperate band-aid because without enough pallets, vaults and situational perks, there's nothing left in the Game itself except trying to spin around in a circle 2 times.

At release the devs were having games with Tru3 (streamer).
At those times devs talked about how they expected survivors to play 'sneaky sneak' and were genuinely surprised by the emergent gameplay of 'juking' etc. Tru then spent the better part of this games initial year talking about how survivors 'were doing wrong' explaining that survivors should play more sneaky sneak.
For ANYONE who has put anytime into this game, they will tell you the whole horror/sneaking aspect gets old and boring fast. It's the interactions between killers/survivors that has been part of keeping this game relevant.
My point being, that this games success has been born almost in spite of itself.

I agree with you

before complaining about that, also complain on how maps have new infinite loops, but of course, you never complained before about survivor exploits before you wont do it now, nerf killers buf survivors, not enough broken advantages.
0 -
They did not do fine. LOL Do you even DbD forum, bro? The killers are still out in full force complaining about "muh ruin nerf".
0 -
Lol Killers shouldn't be stupid to chase ONE survivor for 4 gens. If they also nerf survivors too much then survivors will just stop playing and killers can sit in lobbies forever. It's a hard balance since both sides think their side should always win.

Imagine saying that you need Bamboozle,Enduring,Spirit fury just to have equal chances to land hits at loops. That is like me saying that I would invent perks for survivor such as Engineer, Medic and Runner to allow survivors to do basic gameplay actions such as Repairing generators,Healing others and Vaulting windows. Other killers power mentioned have specific conditions such as needing to be injured or needing to be in dream world and even then, they do not change strength of those loop or impair you from stalling the killer. I think the reason why killers like Huntress or Spirit have high playrate is because they turn those zero-gameplay situations into skillful interactions between survivor and the killer.

Lmao, yes there are very skillful interactions between a survivor and a stridor spirit. She wears headphones, you go down. There is actually nothing you can do once you are injured. And with monitor, she is going to be teleporting straight onto generators with almost no warning, so good luck avoiding the first hit.
You want to play a trash tier killer and get easy downs? You run chase perks, it's as simple as that. Otherwise you will need to be a god at mindgames. I don't think it is unbalanced. But you get people running full greedy slowdown perks on bubba/legion and then coming here complaining they is bad.

I agree that this game is extremely difficult to balance because either way they balance it, someone will always be unhappy. Where I disagree with you is a killer shouldn't chase one survivor for 4 gens as if that's the killers fault. Survivors shouldn't have the ability to run a killer for that long because the balance would be wrong if that was possible which is why the devs should make patches based on top rank gameplay, where the survivors can run as efficiently as possible.

Lol.. what? you can't 360 every single killer. And 1 survivor can waste all 8 pallets, leaving the rest of us screwed.
0 -
So... you're telling us the patch that is supposed to reduce gen rushing.. is actually promoting Gen rushing? Because if we don't rush, we'll be dead due to having nothing to protect ourselves with?

Did you know survivors can wear headphones? Did you know monitor increases radius in which you hear wooshy sound as that sound is based off your TR for Spirit so that silent teleporting non-sense doesn't exist. You can also hear footsteps and a spirit being able to hear you does not contribute to your inability to learn juking and play mindgames.
Killer downs aren't easy against good players and Enduring+Spirit fury+Bamboozle is NOT a normal gameplay loop for killer. I don't think I've even seen much of that in red ranks as survivor. The few times I have seen it, The killer was easily defeated as using that many chase perks show lack of understanding in playing killer at high level. Reading the post gave me headache for attempting to respond to it

And here's the issue.. Not everyone is an elite god mode player that doesnt need pallets or window vaults to escape a killer. You can have a terrible killer dominate an entire team of red ranks, but even being a good survivor often isnt enough to win a match for you.

"Killers had to adapt without ruin" - You do realize most games saw ruin being cleansed in the first 2 minutes of a game? more often then not it was under 60 seconds.
How are we supposed to learn to "Loop windows" when most of the window loops have been removed from the game?
0 -
After looking at the new maps a bit more, there are definitely new dead zones but they aren't the maps mentioned here and they aren't really caused by the reduction of pallets.
For example, they decided to remove several tiles from Wretched Shop (which I don't really get because that map was mostly fine without the god loop) but they didn't put anything in their places and now those areas are complete dead zones. If you get caught working on a gen in those areas it's a free hit or down without sprint burst.
Some of the main building windows are also absolutely useless now and they failed to fix the ironworks window. Really makes me wonder if they actually tested these reworks.

But A really good survivor is going to be able to loop a killer for 4 gens regardless of infinite loops or God pallets. I have a swf team that can do that. 2 members don't need this loops and has run the killer for 4 gens because while they were being chased we got on individual gens and gen rushed. The killer should have stopped chasing him knowing he wasn't going to catch him and went after someone else. And we even got the noed totem and rescued our teammate when he finally got hooked and camped. We had bt and ds helped. One killer dc'd as we were going out the gate. It was not being toxic, it was the killer playing like a moron. And he was a rank 3 so he should have known better.

There are skill gaps between players but I meant rank 1 survivors and killers. It's extremely rare that a rank 1 killer is going to be looped for that long without lots of safe pallets around. That's why I said matchmaking should be done at the top levels.

Here's a solution to the map and pallet, Ruin should be nerfed. Oh wait....
0 -
With team mates like that, you never tried to rank up instead? That way you get paired with smarter players.

STEALTH

Good joke. Rank 1 is just as filled with potatoes like green ranks. Even worse since the rank reset rework. Every scrub can get to rank 1 now.

Yeah, it turns the radius that spirit can silently teleport onto gens to 16m. And for alot of gens, that is not enough time to do anything unless you are running sprint burst. It is a free hit.
From there, stridor spirit just gets a free down. There is actually nothing you can do. Even with iron will. Walk? Well, she still hears you. Run? She hears the footsteps and sees your scratch marks.
She is the most braindead killer in the game. And that's a statement when Freddy exists.

Whatever the cases, I'm just glad to be rid of god loops.

This guy knows what's up.
Watch for my Spirit. I'm gonna have some fun.

yeah as a killer main i say this is way way too goof for killers if survivors get this map they'll probably dc and if they really do make this change i think they should add old old sprint burst back 20 seconds its not that fair but if the half of the map is a dead zone its really bad

FUN GAME PLAY

Lack of pallets on Gas Heaven was actually an issue before this patch. I had a game a few days ago where this exact issue happened; only pallet in the middle of the map was the guaranteed car/petrol tanker pallet right outside the garage. The rest was completely empty but with lots of implied pallet tiles. Pretty sure it's bugged.

idk seems like a lot of pallets to me
